Size, weight, and shape:

The complete BT 700 kit weighs 109 kg, and the table weighs 90 kg. The table measures 80 cm high, 214 cm long, and 118 cm wide with a playing surface measuring 96 x 192 cm. The cushions are 37 mm high and the bed is 18 mm. The table’s pockets have a 11 cm opening and can hold up to 7 balls.

Table bed design

The bed is made from a medium density wood fibre composite called medium-density fibreboard (MDF). This design choice makes the table light, level, smooth, and durable. We drew inspiration from aeronautical technology (see unique features) by adding stringers underneath the bed to further reinforce it, render it less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, and help it withstand impacts during play.

Unique features: stringers

In the longitudinal frame design on airplane wings, stringers strengthen the structure to support pressure and deformations, coupled with the fuselage’s ribs and frame. Following the same idea, we have added metallic stringers and longerons underneath the bed. A reinforced design prevents drooping that occurs on tables without a good structure, including slate tables.

You can play pool and English billiards with this kit, but what is the difference?

You can tell the two cue sports apart by their balls.Pool uses numbered striped and solid balls while English billiards (also called blackball) uses yellow and red balls. They also have different rules and tactics.For example, pool is more of an attacking game, while blackball requires more defensive tactics.

Area needed to play comfortably

You have to feel comfortable playing pool, which depends primarily on the playing area. The best way to find out if your room is big enough is to have a cue-length (1.45 m) of space on each side of your table And you need to account for an extra 5cm for your stroke (the back and forth motion of the cue). In a nutshell? You need 21.5 m² for the BT 700 pool table (or 514 x 418 cm).

A few tips for taking care of your pool table

We recommend brushing your table after each use. Depending on how much you play, vacuum it occasionally as well. Avoid moving it Be careful of changes in temperature and humidity. Cover the table with the tarp after each use. Lastly, clean the balls with lukewarm water mixed with a drop of detergent. Dry them with a soft cloth.
