Thermoformable liner

Polyethylene liner, 3-mm (0.1”) thick thermoformable material. Heat the liner to compress the foam for more room and increased comfort. The bottom of the liner is in EVA, providing extra cushioning, a welcome feature under challenging snow conditions or when landing from jumps.

How to thermoform your liners yourself

1- Preheat the oven to 80°C on fan mode. 2- Remove the liners from the shells. 3- Remove the insoles from your liners. 4- Put the liner in the oven for 5 minutes. 5- Remove the liners from the oven. 6- Put the insoles back inside the liners. 7- Put the liners back inside the boots. 8- Put on your boots and lock each buckle to the midway setting. 9- Wait for 15 minutes at room temperature before taking them off. Now you’re ready to ski!

Buckle adjustment

4 Aluminium micrometric buckles for precise adjustment of the foot and calf size in the boot. Wide strap for powerful and easy tightening of the top of the boot shell for even more effective tongue support.

What is flex?

To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This rating indicates the rigidity of the boot: the higher the number, the stiffer the shell. A flex of 70 is considered best for beginner skiers. A 70–100 flex rating is for intermediate skiers. A rating above 100 is aimed at advanced skiers. Heavier skiers can go up a level.

How to try on ski boots

Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. Can you fasten it past this point? This means the volume of the boot isn’t right for you. Once the boot is closed, flex the boots three times by pressing hard on the shins (put your hands on your knees to help) and push your heel backward inside the boot. Stand upright: your foot should touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backward so your toes are no longer touching the front.

What should you do if you experience foot pain?

1. Choose a technical skiing sock, fine to avoid areas of pressure and improve blood circulation in the foot. 2. Choose a sole that is adapted to the shape of your foot to avoid crushing it and it touching the shell. Ask an in-store salesperson for advice. 3. Thermoform your liner yourself 4. Have the shell of your shoe deformed by a professional (bootfitter) after 3-4 outings to remove the remaining hard points

How do you reduce the feeling of cold on your feet?

Although often overlooked, drying the liner is the most effective way to keep your feet warm. Even at -10°C, the foot sweats and the liner cannot dry in the plastic shell. Ideally, it should be removed every day. Using boot dryers is more convenient because there is no need to remove the liner—just plug them in! Choosing the right size is also essential, for a great fit
