We measure a fabric’s resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Windproof:

The application of a water-repellent treatment prevents water from being absorbed by the fabric’s surface.

Water beads off without being absorbed; as a result the garment remains lightweight, breathable, and warm. This product is water-repellent, not waterproof.
The treatment can be restored to remain effective.Apply sprays on the outside instead of using additives during washing, as these additives can damage the product’s breathability.

Water-repellent properties

the membrane is a polyurethane layer sandwiched between the softshell jacket’s inner and outer fabrics. It protects you from the wind, ensuring your body heat doesn’t escape. This membrane is also breathable: it wicks away perspiration to the outside of the garment through its microscopic pores, preventing moisture build-up and keeping you warm and dry!

This parka was developed for winter conditions such as cold, snow, and blizzards. The thick, synthetic padding (double layer on the body) traps air and keeps your child warm. A long inner flap beneath the zipper blocks cold air. According to our laboratory test at -23°C, 70% of kids experienced thermal comfort.

This parka was designed with a waterproof outer material that prevents water and wind from getting inside. To stay warm in winter, it is important to protect the head, hands, and feet. The anti-blizzard hood with removable synthetic fur, wrist cuffs, and stand-up collar all keep out the cold.

Taped seams make your parka completely waterproof. The seams of a garment are made watertight by adding adhesive waterproof strips on the inside, which prevent water from getting through to vulnerable areas.
The waterproofing is verified via a test that replicates the conditions of a two-hour rain shower. Kids then tested its performance during a hike.

What does it mean that the “100% taped seams” mean?

Practical and smart details: 2 outer pockets with flaps, 1 secure inner pocket for storing essentials such as your phone, 2 mesh inner pockets to store gloves, etc. The main zipper has a cursor and the snaps have thumb loops: kids can open and close the zipper without removing their gloves.

A practical jacket with smart details

We test for durability: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colourfastness, resistance to repeated washing.
Washing the faux fur of the hood is not recommended. The hood can be removed before washing the jacket.
If absolutely necessary, wash the fur by hand and then air dry.

How to preserve the technical qualities of this parka

To care for your product, we recommend closing the zippers when washing. Machine wash at 30°C. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry on medium heat. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Always dry this garment thoroughly before storing it in a dry place away from light. Avoid using chemicals such as bleach, which could affect the garment’s colour and thermal insulation.
