Sun exposure advice
This product is UV-resistant, but doesn’t provide total sun protection. Consider other factors like reflections (off water, sand, etc.), temperature, and time of day. You should also be sure to wear a UV-protection shirt, sunglasses, and a hat, apply sunscreen regularly, and plenty of drink water.

Comes with rip-tab side panels to convert your umbrella into a beach shelter. Handy sand pockets weigh down the shelter.
Wind resistance
This product is resistant to winds up to 20 km/h when the base is buried in the sand to a depth of 25 cm. Using the orange spiral base (purchased separately) can increase the wind resistance by an extra 10 km/h. When the side panels are attached, the sand pockets are filled, and the umbrella base is pushed into the sand with its pole inclined, the shelter can resist winds of up to 20 km/h leaning into the wind.

…if you are on a stony or windy beach you will definitely need a metal spike. Not a plastic one. Otherwise it’s excellent. Very good sun protection, the side sections significantly increase the shade, which is genuinely cool, owing to the insulation.
