Features

This XC helmet has 13 strategically-placed openings for maximum ventilation, particularly on climbs at lower speeds.  In mountain biking, the head often is held higher than when on a road bike, so we’ve optimized the openings to be particularly effective in this position.

To find the right size, simply measure around your head (from forehead to nape of the neck). This mountain bike helmet comes in three sizes:
S: 52–55 cm (20.5–21.7 in)

Choosing your mountain bike helmet size 

We recommend replacing your helmet after these two events:

1. After a fall 
In the event of a fall, the material of your helmet can deteriorate or even break. You may not even notice the damage. This is why we recommend replacing it if you have even the slightest doubt.

2. After five years of use 
Your helmet’s foam degrades over time. It can deteriorate due to impact, the place it’s stored, the climate, and use. We recommend replacing your helmet at least every five years. 

When should I replace my helmet? 

Adjust your helmet in 5 minutes in 2 easy steps: 

1. Clip the straps together with the buckle: make sure you can slide two fingers between the strap and your chin. 

2. Finally, adjust the tightness around your head. 

The helmet should be in contact with your head, without tipping forward, backward, or sideways, even when you’re moving. 

How do you adjust the helmet?

Helmets may seem restrictive at first. The Rockrider team is unanimous: helmets have an important role to play in mountain biking. 
We all wear helmets. For us, helmets are essential. Don’t forget to wear one! ;)

Pedal Type

These pedals have a 9/16" (1.4 cm) standard thread that is compatible with all adult mountain, hybrid, city, and road bikes on the market.

Bike compatibility

To mount the pedals, you will need an 8 mm (5/16") Allen key.
Make sure you screw each pedal on the right way: clockwise for the right, and counterclockwise for the left.

Adjustment

When learning to use clipless pedals, make sure you plan ahead each time you want to unclip and put your foot down (at traffic lights, when stopping, or when there's an obstacle in the way).
If you aren't yet completely at ease with cleats, you might want to use the flat side of your pedals on the more technical sections of your ride.

Monitor your speed and cadence. Connect it to a cyclometer/bike GPS or a smartphone/tablet. Mounts easily.

To preserve your battery life, we’ve added a plastic tab underneath the battery.

So before your first use, you’ll need to open the battery compartment and remove the plastic tab.
Note: Don’t forget to set your sensor to either cadence or speed mode!

Step 1: First use

To change from speed to cadence, just remove and reinsert the battery.

- The green light means you’re in speed mode
- The red light means you’re in cadence mode

You cannot use both modes at the same time. If you want information about both speed and cadence, you’ll need two sensors.

Step 2: Choose cadence or speed mode.

For cadence mode: Place the sensor on your bottom bracket. 
For speed mode: Place the sensor on the hub of your wheel.

Step 3: Installation

To connect it, turn the pedal a few times to “wake up” the sensor.

- Use with an app: 
This sensor connects with all devices using ANT+ and/or Smart Bluetooth technologies. Follow the connection instructions using the menu of your app.

- Use with a cycle computer/watch: 
Use the settings on your device to connect it.

Step 4: Connection

Detection threshold

After installing the battery, the sensor can typically be used for 500 hours, but there may be differences related to temperature or environmental factors. 

When the sensor is not connected for use, be sure that it isn’t installed on the bike, as this will cause the sensor to wake up frequently and drain the battery faster.

Power:

To reduce energy consumption and extend its life span, if the sensor does not detect any data for 60 seconds, it will go into sleep mode. It will automatically wake up and start transmitting data when activity resumes.
