Helmets are designed to protect your head from a single impact. If you fall, you should replace the helmet even if there are no signs of damage: it may be weakened or cracked in an area you can’t see, and no longer provide adequate protection.
We recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years. Some of its components begin to age at this point, especially if stored in a cold or wet place. Manufacturing dates are printed inside the helmet. 

When should you replace a helmet? 

Full-coverage model suited to skating on asphalt (neck and ear protection). Polystyrene structure and ABS outer shell. Complies with European standard EN 1078. 

Impact Protection 

Oxelo replacement foam kits are available to replace the foam in your helmet (product ref. 8607937). 

Replacement Foam 

Three sizes: S = 52–55 cm (20.5–21.7 in) 340 g (12 oz), M = 55–59 cm (21.7–23.2 in) 400 g (14.1 oz), L = 59–62 cm (23.2–24.4 in) 455 g (16.1 oz).

European standard defines the manufacturing and testing criteria for helmets used in sports like cycling, skateboarding, and inline skating. The corresponding test requirements and methods cover the following aspects: construction (including field of vision), restraint systems (including chin straps and tightening devices), and manufacturer markings and information.
