These socks are recommended for static hunting, low-intensity use and regular use. For example, if you are standing on a drive hunt, hunting for migratory species or stalking in the autumn, these socks will help to keep your feet warm. Since we all feel the cold differently, we recommend these socks in temperatures between 0 and 10°C, but this can vary from one person to another.

These Merino wool socks are knitted with large plush loops under the foot, and on the calf and shin. The parts between these areas are knitted in medium plush loops of Thermolite synthetic thread to keep your feet warm, even in damp conditions. The toe and heel are reinforced with polyamide thread for greater resistance to wear. The calf, ankle and instep are elasticated for a firm fit when walking.

For this model, we used a cotton/polyester fabric that is even more durable than the previous version (which was made of 100% cotton). Based on your feedback, our teams also added a side pocket with a zipper, so you can now carry your keys, wallet and other accessories more securely.

A new version of the Steppe 100 pants that has been improved thanks to your comments

We switched to a new dyeing process to manufacture these trousers, designed to reduce the production-related CO2 impact: we only dye every other thread, which reduces the environmental impact as well as producing a mottled effect. On top of that, by applying a "minimal waste” process, we reduced the amount of material needed to produce the pants by 10%, thereby reducing the amount of fabric scraps.

Eco-designed pants: That’s great... But how?

To make sure you enjoy optimum freedom of movement with these pants, our designers decided to use the fabric scraps generated during product assembly to create a reinforced crotch piece. As a result, you can bend down, step over obstacles and walk freely, with fewer constraints and less potential discomfort.

Bird Decoys

This plastic model is the first duck decoy entirely developed by our teams, as we started from the finding that there were no realistic decoys available at affordable prices in Europe. At Solognac, our aim is to facilitate encounters between wildfowlers and ducks: this means reducing the distance between bird and shooter. The realism of this plastic model (whether it be its colours, dimensions or position) therefore plays a key role.

A realistic duck decoy designed to maximise your chances of attracting ducks

This decoy required several months of development. It all began with the work of a wood carver who brought the first prototype to life. 3D modelling was then carried out, along with various adjustments to the dimensions and posture, to produce a true-to-life decoy. A series of colorimetry and 3D-texturing phases for the feathers, interspersed with testing in the field, culminated in a plastic model with ultra-realistic colouring.

The steps required to design this mallard decoy

When shooting from waterside hides, huts or cages, it is essential that the decoys be as solid, comprehensive and realistic as possible to lure wild ducks. With this accessory, the flock you lay out (we also advise arranging some of these models amongst your decoys) maximises your chances of getting birds to land. Similarly, whether in marshland, on a small body of water or a  pool where you are likely to meet wildfowl, this "dummy" is devastatingly effective for pass shooting.

The decoy's realism: an essential factor

The keel of this decoy is weighted, guaranteeing optimal buoyancy when being lapped by water and small waves. Also, knowing that these decoys can remain in place for months on a pond, our engineers keen on waterfowling opted for a main component made of resistant thermoplastic for better durability in the face of weather conditions and changing seasons. Finally, note that the properties of the paint withstand potential deterioration due to salt water.

Why do the characteristics of this mallard decoy make it an essential accessory?

In the light of feedback received from enthusiasts shooting from huts, cages and hides, the plastic's level of resistance was also designed to cope with transportation (car, boat, bag, etc.) and storage conditions during and after the hunting season. This factor, considered essential by any good waterfowler, has been worked on by our teams to ensure that the decoy has an optimal lifespan.

Our new realistic Treemetic camouflage offers more effective camouflage The contrast between the light and dark shades in the background was enhanced to make wearer fade into surroundings, like a spot of light and shadow.
In the foreground, realistic branches break up the body’s outline to make it less recognisable to animals.
