We recommend that you choose your usual size. Indeed, no fabric inside the boot and therefore no additional thickness. The Land 100 rain boots are the lightest in our range (just 1.3 kg [2.9 lb] in size EU 43/44 [US 9.5/10]). You can walk for hours without your feet getting tired or keep them on your feet all day long while working around the house. Whether you wear them to walk through fields or along muddy, puddle-covered trails, these waterproof boots will protect you from the rain and keep your feet dry. Keep away from brambles, dense undergrowth and chemical products.

A must have for country living.

These boots aren’t made to take on brambles, dense undergrowth, or barbed wire. There’s a high risk the plastic may be torn in these harsh environments. They’re perfect for slight challenging muddy terrain without many brambles.

Restrictions on use

To keep your boots in good condition, clean them after each use with water and/or pH-neutral soap (avoid using hard brushes or abrasive sponges). Wipe dry with a cloth or let dry in a well-ventilated place away from heat sources. Store your boots upright, preferably in a well-ventilated dry place. These rain boots have a puncture- and scuff-resistant multilayer rubber upper, a reinforced instep, and a rubber outsole. Walking in the forest, in open ground, undergrowth, or on difficult terrain is not a problem; even in aggressive dense vegetation composed of brambles, gorse, and thorny plants. These waterproof boots allow hunting in all environments.

The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerbers or mm (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. 
This jacket is designed with a waterproof coating: this component resists 5,000 mm of water pressure (Schmerbers) before washing (equivalent to the pressure exerted by a 5-metre column of water).

Water resistance (fabric)

To determine a fabric’s breathability, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric’s resistance, the more perspiration can escape, and the higher the fabric’s breathability. 
RET < 9: extremely breathable fabric
RET < 12: very breathable fabric
RET < 20: breathable fabric
RET > 20: little or non-breathable fabric.

Fabric breathability

The fabric for this jacket is water-repellent: water slides off its surface. In this way, the fabric doesn’t soak up water and stays lightweight and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. Our water-repellent coatings are now perfluorocarbon-free. As a result, this model will be sold with a more environmentally friendly water-repellent treatment.

Your health is our top priority

To maintain water repellency, we recommend regular reactivation. 
Reactivate water repellency after three washes (remember to rinse thoroughly) or after using a dozen times in the rain. 
You can easily reactivate the water repellency properties by warming the fabric: 
- in a dryer for 15 minutes (synthetics cycle)
- with a hair dryer, moving back and forth from a distance of 20 cm (8”)
- with an iron on the delicate setting and with the steam function off

How to maintain waterproofing over time

How much you perspire depends on the intensity and duration of your physical activity.If the fabric isn’t breathable enough for the type of activity/exercise, your perspiration will condense inside the item.The jacket will feel damp inside. This dampness is not rain soaking through but condensation caused by perspiration. This means you need to choose top-layer pants suitable for your activity.This product is designed for 2-hour hikes at no more than 5 km/h (3 mph).
