New patented system for gate opening/closing. The spring located inside the gate is held in place by a plastic runner which slides over the carabiner body. This new system replaces the strip system. It boasts the advantage of being more reliable during the assembly phase and in use. We have designed these shoes to have a straight shape with a flat profile, aligned with the natural shape of the foot. This provides greater comfort.

What shape are the First Klimb shoes?

Our 1st tip is to never machine-wash your shoes. Thermal and mechanical stress could damage them. We recommend that you wash them by hand, either with a sponge soaked in clean water or with a sponge soaked in soapy water (Marseille soap), being sure to air-dry them at a stable temperature and avoid drying them on a radiator or in direct sunlight. We recommend washing them regularly to increase the life span of the shoes.

How to maintain your First Klimb shoes

We recommend choosing the same shoe size as your everyday shoes, or 1 size larger if you want even more comfort or if you have wide feet. They should feel tight without hurting. If you are a beginner or are at an intermediate stage, it is important not to select shoes that are too tight to avoid painful feet and to allow your feet to develop their mobility, strength, and proprioception.

This climbing harness is a good choice to take you up your first routes as part of a group or club.

We recommend harnesses with a single tie-in for beginners as there is less risk of error when roping in. However, single tie-ins are slightly more complicated when used on climbing routes of varying lengths or when abseiling, as the tie-in involves a lot of equipment (rope, lanyards, belaying equipment). It is therefore recommend to use it primarily for big wall top roping.

What uses are a single tie-in point harness recommended for?
