Step 1:  How to clean your skis

You’ll need a waxing iron and a bar of wax. Melt a few drops of wax by placing the bar against the iron plate. Use the iron to spread the wax over the entire surface of the base. Then comes the tricky bit: pass the iron slowly over your skis (from tip to heel), moving continuously without leaving the iron too long in any one spot on your skis, as this will damage your base.

Step 2: How to wax your skis

Note the inertia of iron heating and plan for a fairly slow warming time.
