These Muay Thai Gloves 500 were developed with the Decathlon Thailand teams to fulfill the needs of Thai boxing perfectly. They were tested and approved by intermediate Muay Thai boxers in France and Thailand.
Gloves specially designed for Muay Thai
Muay Thai is a unique style of boxing: clinches and throws are allowed during fights. So it is common for boxers to grab the torso or neck of their opponent. To make clinches easier, gloves should be soft and flexible; thanks to the glove's foam layer construction, it is easier to open and close the hand. The cuff is also very short, which allows the wrist to bend more easily.
What accessories can be used with this muay-thai glove?
To limit odours and dampness in your gloves, consider using strips (ref: 8558269) or under-gloves (ref: 8766117). Easy to get on/off and wash, they prolong the lifetime of your gloves by limiting unpleasant odours.You can also use glove dryers (ref: 8600604) so that your gloves can dry thoroughly from one session to the next. By ventilating your gloves, you can reduce the unpleasant odours caused by dampness.
How to choose the right size of boxing gloves
Boxing gloves come in different sizes so you can find the right fit. They are sized according to your body size rather than your hand size. Women: 45 to 55 kg -> 10 oz. 55 to 65 kg -> 12 oz. 65 to 75 kg -> 14 oz. > 75 kg -> 16 oz. Men's: 55 to 65 kg -> 10 oz. 65 to 80 kg -> 12 oz. 80 to 95 kg -> 14 oz. > 95 kg -> 16 oz.

My favourite gloves from Decathlon. I love the deep spangled black, the silver palms and yellow accents. Really knocked it out of the park with how it looks. I feel that these Thai gloves have better wrist support (bends less on power punches) than the boxing 500 gloves. Howev
er I noticed the newest version of 500 Boxing gloves use a new and different "velcro". Would love to see that new tech incorporated into these 500 Thai gloves as well.
