These water shoes are designed for the exploring and walking in the water. They are suitable for walking along the seafront and comfortably observing the seabed, whether there are rocks, pebbles, sand or stones.

What are these water shoes designed for?

Water shoes can be machine washed at 30°C maximum and with detergent, preferably on a delicate programme.
Then leave them to dry in the open air, away from the sun.

Can I wash my shoes in the washing machine?

Our water shoes are fitted, so we recommend that you choose your usual size. It is best to come and try them on in the shop. Please note that if the shoes do not fit properly, you can exchange them in the shop.

Weight and dimensions 

This shelter is UV-resistant, but it doesn’t provide total sun protection. Consider other factors like reflections (off water, sand, etc.), temperature, and time of day. You should also be sure to follow the relevant advice: wear a UV-protection shirt, sunglasses, and a hat, apply sunscreen regularly, and drink plenty of water.

There are two ways to secure your Iwiko beach shelter tent. 
1) Drive the pegs into the sand or into ground. 
2) Use the weights for a good hold without the pegs. Ties included.
Do not use this shelter in winds above 30 km/h, as it could fly away.

Baby’s skin is very sensitive to the sun, because infants’ defence systems only become effective after the age of 3. For identical exposure, the effects of the sun are 2 to 3 times stronger on a child than on an adult. It is therefore important to protect them effectively.

Protection for children

UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) is an international standard that measures the proportion of UV rays a fabric lets through to your skin. 
A UPF of 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 98% of UVB rays and 95% of UVA rays.

What does UPF 50+ mean?

Although this hat provides protection from the sun, other factors such as reflections (from water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, and so on, must be taken into account. Wearing this hat does not exempt the wearer from following the relevant advice: wear sunglasses, regularly apply suitable sun cream, wear a UV protection top or shorty suit, stay hydrated, etc.

How should you behave in the sun?

Electronic devices require extra protection. We recommend placing cellphones in a waterproof pouch before storing them in the bag. Cameras can be stored in a 5 or 10 L bag within one of the larger bags (30, 40, or 60 L). 
Ensure all bags are properly closed and check water resistance using a paper towel before hitting the water.
Do not submerge or swim with the bag.

Precautions for electronic devices

To ensure good water resistance:
1/ Tightly roll down the top of the bag 5 times.
2/ Fasten the centre buckles.
3/ Fasten the side buckles.

Leave some air in the bag. The bag should appear inflated when closed: this makes it more watertight and ensures it will float.

Does this cap protect against UV rays?

After washing it 3 times in the machine and air-drying, we submerge the cap in water and measure the time it takes for it to return to its original weight. It gets an excellent 5-star score, returning to its initial weight in less than 80 minutes.

Both light and thin, this cap is mainly made of polyethylene. Its flexibility and elasticity make it compact and easy to store in a bag.

Fit and sizing information

Technology: This garment was subjected to a shower test using 60 litres of water/m²/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces average rain conditions in the mountains.
The fabric’s resistance is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 1092 standard). It is 2000 m in this case. The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric.
