How is comfort temperature measured?
We lab test each of our products to provide you with a comfort indicator. This comfort indicator is measured without tights for pants, and with a thermal T-shirt and a fleece for jackets. The measurement indicated is that of the external temperature in which the testers are neither warm nor cold. Of course, the perceived temperature varies in line with the intensity of the activity and the metabolism of the individual.
How to dress to stay warm on the slopes
To stay warm and dry, use the 3-layer rule:- Layer 1, a base layer to keep you dry. - Layer 2, an insulating layer to keep you warm. - Layer 3, a protective layer against the elements.
How is waterproofing of the fabric measured?
A fabric’s water resistance is measured by the height of a water column in mm it can support (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. The 500 Warm Long jacket resists the pressure exerted by 10,000mm of water. For skiing, we recommend components between 3,000 mm and 20,000 mm.
Care instructions
To optimize your product’s performance and durability, we recommend: *Machine wash at 30°C on a synthetics cycle. *Turn the product inside out. *Use a small amount of detergent. Do not use fabric softener. * Spin between 800 and 1,200 RPM. * Dry flat or tumble dry (preferably). This step is very important to fully dry the inner fibres and restore the loft to your jacket.

I LOVE this coat!! Very well made, quite a technical jacket. It's got a ton of features. I particularly like the outer pockets (they are huge and contain a zippered pocket AND fleecy hand warmer pockets). I also love the big collar.

Fabulous Ski Coat - Lightweight warm and snuggly.

The coat is like wearing a light weigh duvet. Fits well. Sleeves great length. Very warm and snuggly. Great features. Zip goes both ways so plenty of leg room for skiing. The pockets are sooo deep, wont lose anything, PLUS there is a shallow pocket fleece lined to warm hands.
Extra warmth across the back and shoulder. Off to Canada soon so needed the extra warmth on my legs. Too warm to wear indoors. Great sign for the colder weather to come. I think other in the ski party will be trying to borrow this from me. No chance.

Although it's a waterproof coat, water seems to soak into the material rather than repelling it, making it feel cold and damp albeit dry on inside. It takes ages to then dry out the coat for the next day.
