How is fabric waterproofing measured?

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. The fabric of the 900 Ski Jacket has a waterproof rating of 15,000 mm and is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by 15,000 mm of water. For skiing, we recommend components between 3,000 mm and 20,000 mm.

How is the water resistance of a jacket measured?

We lab-test each of our products to validate its waterproofing value.How do we perform this test?We fit the jacket on a mannequin that spends a few hours under a shower. With this test, we can confirm that the jacket protects you from snowfall or a light rain shower (3 cm of water) for half an hour.

How to dress to stay warm on the slopes

To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the three-layer technique: - Layer 1 or base layer, to stay dry. - Layer 2 or insulating layer, to keep the heat in. - Layer 3 to protect against the elements. Because the 900 Ski Jacket is very warm, you should only wear it with a second layer in extremely cold conditions.

How is comfort temperature measured?

We lab test our products to provide you with a comfort indicator. The comfort indicator is measured without tights for pants, and with a thermal T-shirt and a fleece for jackets. The temperature indicated is the external temperature at which the testers were neither warm nor cold. Of course, the perceived temperature varies depending on the intensity of the activity and each individual’s metabolism.

This product is repairable.

We commit to repairing your product free of charge for the duration of the warranty. If you need the seams, zippers, or another element repaired, contact your store. However, if we can’t repair your product (production defect), we will exchange it or reimburse you.
