What does the anti-UV material do?  
It protects your eyes from UV rays.
UV radiation is present in winter and summer, in sunny and cloudy weather, and can be harmful to your eyes and eye contours.
The lenses are made of polycarbonate mixed with an anti-UV material to protect from the harmful rays of the sun (UVA and UVB).

Perfect for your outdoor activities!
The polarized lenses intensify colours and improve contrasts and your view of the terrain. 
They provide good protection and excellent comfort by only transmitting the light in one axis while also protecting you from glare by blocking the rays reflected off horizontal surfaces (water, snow, etc.)
The only downside is that it makes it difficult to read screens (phone, etc.) as the polarizing treatment reduces brightness.

Tinted lens classification based on ISO 12312-1 standard: - Category 1: lens with a light tint for reduced sunlight. - Category 2: lens with a medium tint for average sunlight. - Category 3: dark lens for strong sunlight (sea and mountains). Between 82% and 92% visible light absorbed.
- Category 4: very dark lens, for exceptional sunlight (high mountains). Between 92% and 97% visible light absorbed.

Glare

Our lenses are made of polycarbonate, a highly resistant material whose major weakness is vulnerability to scratching. 
Even if your lenses are scratched, the UV protection does not decrease; the mirror effect is purely for aesthetic purposes.
The same goes for the colour of our tinted lenses.
Choose your glasses according to your preference. You will be protected, whatever the colour.

Good to know

Our sunglasses are perfect for your mountain hikes. Your lenses may scratch over time. To repair them, our polarized (reference number 8655386) or non-polarized (reference number 8655382) lenses are available so you can replace the lenses yourself quickly and easily. Don’t throw it away, repair it!
