Rhythmic gymnasts need the right ribbon length for their age and size.
- Gymnasts under age 11 should choose a 4-metre (13’) ribbon. 
- Gymnasts aged 11 and up should choose a 6-metre (20’) ribbon. 
You can also cut the ribbon to 5 metres (16’) and stitch the end to prevent fraying.

The choice of leather or canvas dance shoes often depends on your teacher. Leather is durable and lasts longer. To care for your shoes, simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth. 
The leather sole guarantees durability.

Why choose leather dance shoes?

The shoes have a drawstring so you can adjust them to better fit your feet.
Remember to pull each side of the cord at the same time to avoid losing the end.
Once you get the fit you want, trim the cord and tuck it inside your shoes. Remember to tuck it in every time you wear them.

What are the drawstrings for?

When trying the shoes on, your toes should stay in place without feeling too pinched. They should not be scrunched together or curled. However, you should feel supported.
When choosing leather shoes, opt for one size down if you have narrow feet. Leather tends to stretch and will adapt to fit your feet over time. To check the size of the shoe, simply go up and down on your toes a few times.
