For use on cold, hard floors during school sports or low-impact gymnastics, opt for canvas shoes with insulating soles. Artistic gymnastics shoes are ideal for extra comfort.
For artistic gymnastics, you need to be able to feel the floor or apparatus underneath your feet. This is why gym shoes with a supple microfibre sole are best.
For rhythmic gymnastics, toe shoes are the best option.

Which of the three models is right for you?

Many gymnasts practise artistic gymnastics in bare feet to be more comfortable and feel the floor more easily.
However, it is a good idea to get used to wearing gym shoes from a young age. Hygiene is the number one reason for this.
Grip is another: gym shoes will not slip, unlike socks.
Gym shoes will also prevent your child from developing Sever's disease, which occurs as children are growing.

Why wear artistic gymnastics shoes?

Because gymnasts’ feet suffer repeated impacts with no cushioning, micro injuries can form in the heel, leading to pain that prevents them from training. 
This issue appears as children are growing, but it is not serious and will go away if they rest. 
The best way to prevent Sever's disease is to wear gym shoes with a heel protector that will cushion landings and prevent the disease from occurring in the first place.

If water gets in through the top of the boot, remove the insole, rinse out the boot, and dry thoroughly by placing it upside down over a broom handle. Dry in a well-ventilated area. Turn the boot over and slip it onto a broomstick.

How to dry your boots

When your boots are smudged, simply run them under water and rub them with a sponge. If the smudges are hard to remove, you can rub them with a little soap and a wet sponge.

Traction is determined by the material and design of the sole. This product has a grip level of 3 out of 5.

How do you measure the grip?

This model comes in double sizes. It’s important to choose a size that fits snugly when you’re wearing your usual socks.
If it’s too big, you’ll experience chafing, poor foot support, and poor traction.

How to choose your shoe size

The top of the boot features a ridged strip that provides extra grip while you’re pulling it on.
The heel has a lug that you can push down to remove the boots easily, even while standing.

How can I be sure that my boots are 100% waterproof?

The boot’s collar may seem wide compared to your kid’s calf. But it is totally normal. A kid’s instep is really important so that they can put on the boot independently. The collar must leave enough space. This design choice helps give your kid autonomy when putting the boot on and taking it off.

This garment has been subjected to a shower test using 60 L of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
A waterproof rating of 5,000 mm means the fabric can withstand pressure exerted by 5,000 mm of water (the equivalent of a rain shower lasting for two hours).
 Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 5,000 Schmerbers).

Component breathability

Thermal insulation will keep your young skiers at just the right temperature. This garment adapts to the body’s movements and to the outside environment. Wedze uses wadding for insulation to keep the body warm. 
Wadding is a synthetic component made from polyester that stores more or less air, depending on the length of the fibres. The thicker the wadding, the more air it contains and the warmer it is.

Thermal insulation

The membrane is a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This component prevents moisture from seeping in (snow, rain, etc.) while allowing perspiration to escape.

In addition to waterproof fabric, taped seams make these pants even more watertight. Waterproof adhesive strips taped to the inside seams make these pants fully watertight. These taped seams are in the areas most exposed to snow. On these pants, this means the seat.

Water repellency is a material’s ability to let water bead off the surface without being absorbed. The water-repellent features of these pants improve their resistance to bad weather. The exterior surface of the fabric is treated to make it water-repellent. However, this property may deteriorate with use.
