How to preserve the technical qualities of the boots

Boots can get wet from condensation and perspiration.
If your boots are very wet, remove the insole, fill the upper with balls of newspaper, and change the newspaper regularly. The paper will absorb the moisture and dry them faster.
Never put the boots too close to a heat source. Leave them in a warm, dry, and ventilated place.

This jacket was developed for winter conditions such as cold, snow, and blizzards. The heat comes from the thick filling (double layer on the body), a synthetic insulating component thanks to the air stored in its fibres. A wide quilted inner flap underneath the main zipper stops cold air from entering. According to our laboratory test, 70% of kids experienced thermal comfort at -17°C.
However, every individual feels the cold differently.

This jacket was designed with a waterproof outer material that prevents water and wind from getting inside. To stay warm in winter, it is important to protect the head, hands, and feet. The storm hood with detachable synthetic fur, storm cuffs and a stand-up collar prevent the cold from getting inside.

How does the jacket keep my child warm and dry?

The waterproofness of a jacket isn’t just limited to its components: the assembly technique also makes a difference.
Whether heat-sealed or sewn then waterproofed, this jacket’s overall waterproofness is measured using a shower test developed by Decathlon, which simulates rain of different intensities.
This waterproof parka protects you from a downpour, i.e., 12 cm of rain in 2 hours.

This product has a waterproof component resistant to 5,000 mm water (Schmerber) before washing.

Taped seams make the jacket completely waterproof. The seams of a garment are made watertight by adding adhesive waterproof strips on the inside, which prevent water from getting through.
The waterproofing is verified via a test that replicates the conditions of a two-hour rain shower. Kids then tested its performance during a hike.

What does “100% taped seams” mean?

Practical and smart details: 2 outer pockets with flaps, 1 secure inner pocket for storing essentials such as your phone, 2 mesh inner pockets to store gloves, etc. The main zipper has a pull and the snaps have thumb loops: kids can open and close the zipper without removing their gloves.

A practical parka with smart details

Durability tests are conducted on selected components: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colourfastness, and resistance to repeated washing. Washing the faux fur on the hood is not recommended. The hood can be removed before washing the jacket.
If absolutely necessary, wash the fur by hand and then air dry.

Can I wash this jacket regularly without damaging it?

Whatever your cold-weather activity, use the three-layer technique:
Layer 1: A high-tech base layer to wick moisture away from the body and keep your skin dry.

Care products: spray or liquid water-repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric’s water-repellent properties and optimize the garment’s performance throughout its lifetime, we recommend using these products every wash.

How to preserve the technical qualities of this jacket

To care for your product, we recommend closing the zippers when washing. Machine wash at 30°C, normal cycle. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry on medium heat. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. How does the fleece protect from the cold?
