Tested in 2 hours of moderate rain 15,000 mm Schmerber
Breathability
Very breathable coated fabric (RET < 12): less condensation.
Pockets
3 pockets secured with a zip, including 1 inner pocket
Windproof
Fabric especially coated to reduce the cooling effect of the wind.
Water repellent
Especially treated so water slides off the fabric surface.
Resistance to salt water
Salt-resistant materials and zippers.
Hood
Stowable hood! The collar’s plastic-moulded zip prevents salt oxidation. A visor helps protect your face from the rain. The stand-up collar reaches up to the chin.
Pockets
Features 2 front zip pockets and 1 inner chest zip pocket. Plastic-moulded zip to prevent salt oxidation. Please note: Pockets are not watertight.
Front zipper
Full-length zipper with an inner storm flap that protects against wind and water. The outer flap prevents water from entering through the zipper and ensures better waterproofing. Top of the collar features a comfortable chin guard.
Sleeves
The cuffs have adjustable rip-tabs to adjust the sleeve length and prevent water from getting in. Unfasten the rip-tabs to remove the jacket.
Waterproofing 1/2
We measure a fabric’s resistance to water pressure in mm of water column (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure a fabric can withstand, the more waterproof it is. Waterproofing ratings: Component is water-resistant to 15,000 mm after aging (5 washes). This is equal to 15,000 Schmerber (the average pressure exerted during rainfall). The anorak's waterproofness was tested in a rain shower with 60 litres of water/m²/hour for 2 hours.
Waterproofing 2/2
Materials are water-repellent (water runs off). Fully waterproof seams. Adjustable drawstring at the bottom. Cuffs with adjustable rip-tabs. Zipper features internal and external flaps. High collar (11.5 cm in the back). Plastic-moulded zip to prevent salt oxidation.
Breathability
To find out if a fabric is breathable, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat transfer (RET). The lower the RET, the easier it is for water vapour generated during physical exertion to pass through the fabric. For example: RET < 9 = very breathable; RET 9–12 = breathable. The sailing jacket’s RET is 12.
Water repellency
This jacket stays lightweight and breathable in wet conditions because water slides off the treated fabric instead of seeping in. The water-repellent coating applied to the jacket’s exterior may change over time. To restore it, place the jacket in the dryer for 10 minutes at the lowest temperature.
How to restore your garment’s water repellency
Drying is a crucial phase in restoring the water-repellent treatment. We recommend that you lay your garment flat on a clothes rack to dry. Caution: never dry your jacket directly on a radiator. Then place it in the tumble dryer on a short synthetics cycle, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before turning it back the right way round. Caution: Do not over-dry the garment.
How to wash your jacket
To maintain the water-repellent properties, infrequent washing is recommended. Close all zippers and flaps, empty all pockets, and turn the jacket inside out. Wash it on the synthetics cycle (30°C–40°C) with regular detergent. Don’t use fabric conditioner or bleach, as these could damage the material’s water-repellent coating. Very important: Run a full rinse cycle or extra rinse.

Super top
