How do you fill your NH Arpenaz 500 Backpack?
Place heavy items at the bottom of your NH 500 Hiking Backpack. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece in an easy-to-access location. This is the complete backpack and I have been looking for a while for something a bit more premium. I love the different compartments, especially the bottom cooler bag, trainer holder (fits a size 7 nicely). this can also be unzipped for a full length bag. there's so many feat
ures including a built in picnic mat, space for hydration pack, smaller accessories, laptop and phone holder, waist bang and padded straps. I absolutely love it and it's terrific value.

The cold compartment is seperated from the mail bompartment by a zip in the lid of the cold compartment. Which was unzipped when I recieved it. The position its in after being unziped makes it imposible to rezip it as the two section are to wide apart. I made arrangements to r

Great practical bag for town, tra and light hiking

Really nicely thought out bag with tons of features. There are many reviews of the older model with brown interior around but this has a white interior and minimal logos. There are a good 8 storage sections, inc the two bottle holders and I keep discovering new things s
uch as the key hook near the top and the picnic mat in the base, which used to be where the rain cover was. Although not waterproof, this will cope with light rain for a while. I tried it in all day drizzle hiking in Sardinia and all was fine inside. There is a phone holder on the padded straps (comfortable), the hand carry loop is no longer between the straps so isn't uncomfortable and the back padding is thicker and reduces contact so less sweat. The food compartment is insulated to some extent so really useful, plus it can be unzipped so you have one large compartment. There are stretchy bands to hold walking poles on one strap, there is a stretchy tube on the top where a mat or jacket could be stored out of the main compartment, etc, etc. Sometimes I am rummaging around trying to track down which pocket contains the item I can't find! There are two loops halfway down the straps which are still a mystery to me, plus other small details which could be useful with some imagination. I think at £39.99 this is a great bag, esp considering the 10 year guarantee. I also like the understated colourway and logo. Good job, Decathlon!
