Sole grip
Certified sole grip. To be certified, the shoes must pass lab tests to assess their grip (0.6 for this model) on various surfaces (smooth, rugged, dry, wet). The tests are then validated by a panel of testers who evaluate the quality of our soles out in the mountains across 500 km (311 miles).
Which size should you choose?
For hiking, it’s best to go one size up from your child’s usual shoe size. This will ensure optimal comfort on the way down and prevent their toes from hitting the end the shoe. Tip: keep toenails short and, before any descent, check that the straps and/or laces are properly fastened to prevent the foot from slipping forward in the shoe.
Tips
Allow children to try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks they will be wearing while hiking. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot while going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying shoes on. Gradually break in your shoes during your first few trips.
Removable insole
Removable insole for faster drying. It can also be replaced with an orthopedic insole.
