Our jacket is equipped with a 2-layer membrane. The film applied to the inside of the fabric stops water coming from outside, but also wicks away perspiration. This ultra-technical component has a waterproof factor of 10,000 Schmerbers and can thus withstand the pressure exerted by 10,000 mm (400") of water.

A breathable product for even greater comfort

The breathability of a product is measured by its Thermal Evaporative Resistance (TER). The lower the resistance (and therefore the coefficient), the more breathable the fabric. Our waterproof jacket also has a breathability index that's lower than 6, so we can affirm it's definitely breathable... And that's just as well, because:why protect yourself from the water outside the jacket only to sweat more inside?

Did you know that the intensity of your activity, the height profile, and the weather conditions should influence the choice of your different layers of clothing? This is the right order, which can be adjusted according to the parameters mentioned above: - Layer 1 is breathable and wicks perspiration away to the other layers. - Layer 2 is insulating, protects you from the cold and keeps you warm. - Lastly, layer 3 protects you from the wind and/or rain.

Tips for washing your jacket

We recommend that you machine wash on a synthetics programme (30°c), thorough rinse and slow spin. Do not use bleach and softener to wash your jacket - gentle detergent is enough. Before washing your jacket, turn it inside out, empty the pockets and close the zippers as well as the hook and loop tabs on the wrists. Lastly, do not overload the machine, fold the garment, or mix colours.

...and drying it!

Dry your jacket in the open air, then 10 to 15 minutes in a tumble dryer, on a synthetics programme. It is vital that you do not overdry the jacket, or put it on a radiator. If, in spite of the washing, thorough rinsing, open-air drying, and cool tumble drying, drops of water no longer flow across the surface of your jacket, we recommend that you rewaterproof it using a spray or a technical detergent sold in our stores
