These knee pads have been designed according to the 2016/425 (EU) Regulations applicable to body protection. For this type of knee pad, they are characterized in particular by tests on shock absorption capacity, with impact tests according to Standard EN1621-1 Level 1.

You can wear it against the skin or over a layer one (leggings or ski/snowboard tights). Be sure to position the zippers on the outside of the knees so you can put on the knee pads more easily and feel more comfortable during your session.

Practical and comprehensive accessories for all your outings

The waterproof component and the assembly prevent water from getting in. The seams are waterproof, and the zippers are also waterproof and under a protective flap. This jacket has been tested in a special shower that reproduces the conditions of the ski resorts, and in the field for several days in different weather conditions.

Highly waterproof (15,000 mm Schmerber) and tested in real-life conditions

A fabric's water-repellent property is its ability to let water slide off its surface without soaking in. The fabric doesn’t soak up water and so remains lightweight, breathable and warm. It is made from a treatment on the outside of the fabric, which must be renewed (every 3 washes).

The pants are padded with 60 g/m² insulation: just enough to keep you warm without being too thick.

Warm without compromising on breathability

The RET, or the evaporative resistance of the material (ISO 11092 standard), is 12. The lower this rating, the more water vapour generated by the body evaporates.

Breathable fabric and ventilation

This is a very thin polyurethane film that makes the material waterproof while remaining breathable. More flexible, lightweight, resistant and often more breathable than coating, which is less expensive and requires a protective lining, similar to paint applied to the inside of the fabric.

Weight

You don't need to wear anything under these padded pants. However, in very cold weather, you can wear a breathable thermal base layer (known as a layer 1).

The water repellency of your pants should be reactivated regularly (every 3 washes). Over time, even though they remain waterproof thanks to the component, they seem to start absorbing water. To do this, use a reactivating spray or a treatment reapplication product.

All our gloves and mittens have a water-repellent treatment that means their fabric does not absorb water, but instead ensures it slides across the surface. As a result, the fabric does not become saturated with water. It remains light and warm. A fabric becomes water-repellent thanks to a treatment applied to its outer surface. To remain effective, this treatment must be reapplied every 2 to 3 washes with specific products that are available in our stores.

Water repellency of the component

These ski gloves have a water-resistant membrane (a very thin polymer film) between the lining and the outer part of the glove. This membrane acts as a barrier to water and makes the product waterproof. In addition, the outer materials of the product benefit from a water-repellent treatment that reduces water absorption. Only a rubber glove is watertight. A glove with a membrane, under extremely damp conditions, will have limited waterproofness.

Waterproof membrane

All our gloves and mittens are windproof. Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder? At an outside temperature of 0°C and a wind speed of 20 km/h, the temperature will feel like -10°C. Windproof fabrics limit wind chill and cold.

Windproofing

A special cuff has been built inside the 500 gloves. This soft and comfortable cuff keeps out draughts and snow from getting into the glove when it’s windy or in case of a fall. Extra warmth.

Simply pull the wrist-strap with the opposite hand for speedy and effective adjustment.
