Wedze/Quechua helmets and goggles are designed to form an complete unit and prevent gaps between the top of the helmet and the goggles.

Compatibility

Use the adjustment dial to secure your helmet. The dial can be easily adjusted while wearing gloves. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.

Tightening dial

This type of structure, known as In-Mould, features a polycarbonate outer shell that is moulded directly to the EPS liner. The inner EPS liner absorbs shocks in the event of a collision. The whole thing is extremely lightweight. The In-Mould construction is more sensitive to everyday impacts. We recommend changing your ski helmet at least every five years or if it has sustained a significant impact.

In-Mold construction

Measure the circumference of your head (from the middle of your forehead to the top of your ears) and choose the right size. When trying on the helmet, you should not feel any discomfort. If the helmet does not have a visor, try it on with a pair of goggles: There should be no gaps between the two.

How to choose the right size and trying on your helmet

For your safety, your ski helmet must be properly adjusted:
- The head circumference must be adjusted using the tightening dial.
- The chin strap must be correctly adjusted. You should be able to fit two fingers between the strap and your skin. If it is not adjusted properly, the helmet will not protect you as it should.

Adjust your helmet once you have the right size

We recommend replacing your ski helmet at least every five years unless it has sustained a significant impact in the meantime. In the event of a strong impact, the helmet must be replaced: even if it is not visible, the internal material may be damaged and your helmet will provide less protection.

When should you replace your ski helmet?

Avoid wearing a hat, as this will create a gap between your head and your helmet and reduce your protection. If necessary, opt for a very thin balaclava designed for this purpose. 
Avoid putting a camera on the helmet, as this will compromise your safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.

Helmets used for head protection when downhill skiing and snowboarding are required to meet the European standard EN 1077:2007. This standard ensures that helmets absorb shocks and are resistant to penetration. There are two categories:
- Class A: protects the top and back of the head, as well as the ears and the side of the head.
- Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.

A rigorous standard for protections

The Turnring is essential to the support of your helmet. This system can be easily and precisely adjusted at any time using the easily accessible dial that you can even use with your skiing gloves. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.

A practical adjustment wheel to adapt the helmet to fit you

The venting system improves the thermal regulation of your helmet and reduces fog in your goggles. This type of design lets heat and humidity escape from the entire helmet and goggle area.

Passive ventilation system

The hard shell construction makes the helmet more durable and robust. The helmet has an injection-moulded, ABS outer shell to withstand powerful impacts. High resistance to bumps and knocks. The internal Epos skullcap absorbs impact during collisions. Change your snowboard helmet at least every 5 years, even if it hasn’t sustained any impacts.

Hard shell construction

Avoid putting a thick hat under your child's helmet as this will move the helmet away from their head and they won't be as well protected. 
Opt for a very thin beanie or balaclava. Helmets have good insulating properties. Often, nothing else is needed. Do not attach a camera to the helmet, as the extra weight can affect safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.

Do you want a solid, durable pole that guarantees your safety in the event of a fall or if the pole gets stuck (on a net, tree, mechanical ascent, etc.)? 
Wedze has an ingenious ejection system of the strap to stop the thumb from turning inside out.
The preformed strap is clipped to the top of the handle and can be unclipped in case of stress. It can be re-clipped without any problem.

 In case of a fall, the hand does not get stuck like in a standard strap (8% of trauma cases).

Experience

To determine the correct size, bend forward slightly while wearing your ski boots. Then hold your poles upside down with your hand under the basket so that your forearm forms a 90° angle.

How should you choose your ski poles?

Because UV rays are harmful to eyes, all our goggles are certified 100% anti-UV in accordance with the EN 174 standard. Goggles, which perfectly enclose the eyes and prevent any direct or reflected UV light from entering, provide the best protection.

Essential anti-fogging is a dual lens with treatment on the inside of the inner lens.
To ensure effective ventilation, do not block the vent with a neck warmer, for example.
Be careful not to rub the inside of the lens, but carefully dab the surface to maintain the effectiveness of the anti-fogging treatment for as long as possible

Essential Anti-fog

Goggles with dual screen reduce condensation. The air trapped between the lenses creates a layer of thermal insulation. The thermal shock between the inside and the outside of the goggles is lower, limiting fogging on the goggles’ inner lens. The inner lens also has an anti-fog treatment.

The cylindrical double lens is made of polycarbonate (outer lens) and cellulose polycarbonate (inner lens) cut to fit the goggles.

There is a vertical and a horizontal visual field. The G 100 has an Essential field of vision, providing good, safe visibility on the sides.

The EN 174 standard is a European standard applied to goggles used for eye protection when downhill skiing or during similar activities, such as snowboarding. The ANSI standard, the American standard, has more stringent requirements for resistance to shocks and impact.
These ski goggles comply with both of these standards.

Moisture causes fogging. To prevent this, ensure the foam does not get damp, for example by placing the goggles on a wet helmet or a hat. Falling face down in the snow can also cause your goggles to fog up. Always dry your ski goggles overnight to get rid of any dampness so you can return to the slopes the following day with bone-dry goggles.
