User guide

The glide surface is made of PE (polyethylene), the same material used on the underside of skis or snowboards. On groomed slopes, it slides quickly. On the other hand, the shape of the Funny Slide sled and the position of the rider makes it glide much more slowly on soft snow. The PE base also makes this little sled very strong.

To steer the Funny Slide shovel sled, sit on the printed side, straddle the T, and pull the handle. For more speed, lean back so that the entire surface of the sled comes into contact with the snow.

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: the main compartment and all the pockets are filled with little balls. These balls are then emptied into a graduated container to get the equivalent volume in litres.

How is volume measured?

1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, belt, and load adjuster straps).
2 - Put the backpack on.
3 - Tighten the shoulder straps.
4 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.

How to adjust your backpack

Put heavy items at the bottom. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece in an easy-to-access location. Place small frequently used items in the pockets (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.). 

How to pack your backpack

The water-repellent components allow you to continue walking or hiking in light rain for short periods. Note: This backpack is not watertight or waterproof and does not come with a rain cover.

Waterproofing

The following components were validated in the lab: fabric, buckles, straps, foam, and zippers. For example, we test the fabric’s resistance to abrasion and tearing, colourfastness, and waterproofing. We also check the resistance of the construction using a dummy that reproduces a hiker’s movements to replicate several years of wear and tear.

Tested for optimal durability

Thanks to your feedback, we improved the design of the 10 L NH 50 backpack.
We added a double zipper on the main compartment and a larger pocket bottom on the outside pocket. The aim is to not lose your belongings when opening your bag. 
And of course, the price hasn’t increased!

Given the fact that it’s often difficult to find the correct flotation aid for your kids and to anticipate how well they take to the water and their confidence, we designed the Tiswim 2. With its modular design, this progressive armband is for kids discovering the pleasure of playing in the water, moving around and learning their first swimming movements in complete safety.

Why use adaptable armbands?

Step 1: Initially, the Tiswim is used with all the parts (armbands + belt in front).
Step 2: Armbands only, to start moving in the water in a vertical position.  
Step 3: Belt only positioned at the back to discover the swimmer's position (horizontal) and the first movements of swimming.

What are the 3 ways of using the Tiswim?

The adjustment strap on the front chamber is equipped with a 3-point buckle to prevent the child from removing it themselves.
The buckle is opened by at least two simultaneous or sequential actions to prevent it opening accidentally.

Secure fastening system

The Tiswim progressive armbands-waistband have PVC one-way inflation valves.
To inflate the product correctly, press the base of the valve to open it.
The valve closes mechanically in about 2 seconds. As such, it is normal for a bit of air to escape after inflation. This is why you must close the cap quickly.

The armbands are always fully inflated. However, you should ideally inflate the second chamber directly on your kid's arm.
It’s best to inflate the belt before putting it on your child when it’s going to be used in a front or back position.

How much should I inflate the different parts of the Tiswim?

When the product is optimally used. Inflate the front chamber, and position it on your child’s chest. Tighten the strap on the back, as you usually would. When in use, make sure that the front chamber doesn't rise up to your child’s chin, to avoid it rubbing. If needed, don't hesitate to reposition the product on your child’s torso.

How can I adjust the belt in the front position?

After use, rinse your product and do not leave it in direct sunlight.

How to Choose Swim Cap Material 

There are several alternatives to standard swimming caps to suit everyone’s needs:

- brush caps: made of a highly stretch mesh.
- waffle stitch caps: made of latex, can be put on without pulling at your hair.
- volume or extra volume caps: the shape of these silicone caps provides more room for full hair.

- moulded or shell swim caps: these silicone caps are made for competitive swimming.

- neoprene caps: perfect for open-water swimming.

Alternatives

S, M, L, one size… which is the right size for me? 

The choice is quite simple: fabric and coated mesh caps are available in different sizes (S, M, L), while silicone caps are available in only one size, because they are highly elastic.

To choose the right size, follow our short guide to head sizes:
- XS: 50-52 cm. (available in the range for babies)
- S: 53-56 cm.
- M: 56-59 cm.

How to choose the right swim cap size

Did you know? Swim caps must be worn the right way round!

Swim caps have a central band from the front to the rear. The line of the fold of silicone caps (visible when the cap is flat) is in the same direction as that of the preceding caps.

Then join your hands and put them inside the cap. Stretch out your hands and fingers to create enough space to put the cap on.

At the front, the cap must be worn about one finger above your eye brows. 

How to put your swim cap on

For two reasons. 

First, by wearing a swim cap, the environment in which you are swimming is protected. By retaining your hair, the cap protects the quality of the water and facilities by protecting the hygiene of the pool or waterway. 

Second, caps also protect you! Caps protect your hair against the harm caused by water, chlorine (or other treatments) and salt (or other pollutants).
