Thanks to this unique system, your child can enjoy their skates for more than one season. Make sure to pick skates that fit your child’s feet. If they’re too big or too heavy, your child will have poor posture and struggle to control their movements.

One skate, many sizes

The semi-stiff boots have foam padding for extra comfort and moisture-wicking airy mesh to keep your child’s feet dry for longer.
They’re easy to put on thanks to their simple, effective fasteners: each boot has a top micrometric buckle and a rip-tab fastener on the instep so the heel fits snugly.
Sizes 11.5C–1 and 1–3.5 have elastic laces and sizes 3.5–6, standard laces.

Ultra comfortable

The lightweight composite plate ensures a smooth, easy glide. The 70 mm 80A wheels and ABEC 3 bearings provide effortless glide and maneuverability. They come with a classic rubber brake that you can attach to either the right or left boot. Spare brakes are available in stores.

Easy brake system

Unlike plastic, which skids, rubber provides good traction. This prevents slipping when your child pushes off and helps them brake effectively. What’s more, rubber wears less quickly than plastic.

Our Oxelo teams work hard to keep your child safe, however experienced they are. That’s why we chose to equip all our kids’ skates with rubber wheels and brakes.

Why rubber beats plastic

Some parts of the wheels will wear out more quickly, so switch their positions regularly. 
Replace them once they’ve worn down to the first of the seven visible rings.

Making your wheels last

The FIT 3 skates are equipped with 70 mm wheels.
Inline skates in sizes 1/3.5 and 3.5/6 can be equipped with 76 mm wheels, even light-up ones, which are available online or in store.

The corresponding test requirements and methods cover the following aspects: construction, including field of vision; restraint systems (including chin straps and tightening devices), and manufacturer markings and information.

Replacement foam

Helmets are designed to protect your head from a single impact. If you fall, you should replace the helmet even if there are no signs of damage. It may be weakened or cracked in an area you can’t see, and no longer provide adequate protection.
We recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years. Some of its components begin to age at this point, especially if stored in a cold or wet place. Manufacturing dates are printed inside the helmet.

To make this skateboard better suited to children aged 3-7 years, it features a wider wheelbase: the deck is lower and won't have a leverage effect on the nose and tail.
We chose ABEC3 bearings for a smooth ride and softer bushings to make learning to turn easier.
And to make sure this skateboard grows with your child, it features holes for moving the trucks to a normal position.

About the trucks on the Play 120

With its symmetrical design and lower height, the Play 120 doesn't look like a regular skateboard.
For greater stability, the trucks are set wider and at an incline. 
The result: a lower deck to make pushing off easier.
With the trucks at the nose and tail, you no longer have any leverage, which means no goofy or regular stance - which is why it has a symmetrical shape. A skateboard that breaks the mould and makes learning to ride more fun.

"It all started two years ago. We wanted to create a skateboard that was truly suited to children aged 3 to 7 years who need to learn how to push off, ride and turn. That's why we used real bearings for a smooth ride: learning a sport should still be fun. If things are always hard, fun goes out the window. We tested this skateboard in skateboarding schools for children in h, France, to create a simple, age-appropriate product. The aim was for children to have fun using it."

Trucks, nose, bushing etc. Let's review the vocabulary: 

"First things first: to learn to skateboard, get yourself properly kitted out: helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist pads. Protective gear means you can fall without getting hurt. Falling is a part of skateboarding, just like learning to walk. Or a bit like judo, when you learn how to fall. The second thing is to find the right place to practise: flat ground, without cars. An empty parking lot is a great place to start!"

How should you learn to skateboard? Our design team has a few tips:

These inline skates are perfect for kids who want to start out, by gradually gaining speed.

See the little tongue on the front of the boot? Simply move the rip-tab to the number desired. 1 for the smallest size, 2 for the middle size and 3 for the biggest. The space at the front of the foot is then freed up, thus gaining 2 sizes. Clever, eh?

Adjusting the size

The hardware kit, also called "stability kit", can be fitted to Play 3 and Play 5 inline skates of any size. This "stability kit" lets kids start in "tricycle" mode: It's the ideal way to increase stability on their first few rides to build up confidence.

When the little ones skate for the first time, parents tend to hold both their arms. It's an automatic reflex, but it's not a good idea. So how can the kids be helped? Take them somewhere with a handrail; tell them to walk with baby steps while holding the rail in one hand. They'll get there!

Maximum rider weight

3. Close lever. For optimal comfort, choose a skate weight that matches your child’s size and abilities: If their foot is sliding around in the boot, they’ll have poor posture and struggle to stay in control.

Skates that expand to fit many sizes

The semi-stiff boot is lined with airy mesh foam that keeps feet dry.
Simple fasteners make these skates easy to slip on and off: each boot has a top micrometric buckle, a rip-tab fastener on the instep so the heel fits snugly, and classic or elastic laces depending on the size. 
Weight 2.25 kg (1–3.5 kids), 2.43 kg (3.5–6 kids), and 2.61 kg (6–8 men).

Comfy and practical Introducing Fit 5 Junior skates.

The Fit 5’s skate plate is made from aluminum for optimal performance. The large 76 mm wheels (compatible to 80 mm in sizes 2½–7) and ABEC 7 bearings provide a smooth glide and more speed. The classic rubber brake attaches to either the right or left boot. Spare brakes are available in stores.

Thanks to rip-tabs, these skates slip on like trainers. 

Ewa, our product manager, recommends the complete kit: helmet, elbow and knee pads, and wrist guards. You never know when you’re going to take a tumble!We recommend the following protective gear: the Oxelo Play Set (model code: 14777) and the B 100 helmet (model code: 153191) or the MF 500 helmet (model code: 160387).

Bearings are rated ABEC 1 to 7. 
We selected ABEC 1 bearings to guarantee a progressive glide experience suited for kids just learning how to skate. Basically, these skates glide more slowly. The wheels measure 60 mm.

The technical stuff: wheels and bearings. 

See the little tongue on the front of the boot? Just clip it at the right spot to fit your child's foot. The space at the forefoot is left open to accommodate up to 2 more shoe sizes. Clever, eh?
