Isothermal
This product was lab-tested according to the EN 12546-2 standard, at an ambient temperature of 32°C, without ice packs and half full. It took 8 hours to go from 5°C (food temperature straight from the fridge) to 15°C. With a 1.8 kg ice pack, the time was 12 hours under the same conditions.
Capacity
Volume: 30 L. Recommended for 4 to 6 people. There’s a system inside for keeping your bottles upright during transport. There’s a separate zipper pocket on the outside so you can keep your belongings dry and away from food in the cooler (wallet, keys, map, camera, etc.). The cooler also has 2 outside mesh pockets.

Cooler dimensions when unfolded: (length x width x height) Outer dimensions: 32 x 25 x 50 cm Inner dimensions: 30 x 23 x 43 cm Once folded, the cooler is more compact and measures 32 cm wide, 10 cm deep, and 46 cm high.
Waterproofing
This backpack is not waterproof inside. The bottom doesn’t hold in water. Sometimes condensation may seep through the seams. However, this rarely happens and won’t damage your food.
Directions for use
You can put ice packs in your bag to keep your food cold for longer. When packing your bag, we recommend placing food that needs to stay cold at the bottom of the bag.To increase the cooler’s thermal performance, we recommend only opening it when necessary and closing it quickly.
How is the volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: the main compartment and all the pockets are filled with little balls. These balls are then emptied into a graduated container to get the equivalent volume in litres.

I wouldn't fill and carry it long distance but it's ideal and comfortable enough to carry a reasonable load a moderate distance. Seems to keep stuff nice and cool when used with ice blocks

We went for the slightly larger backpack and glad we did. Lots of room for everything from food to bottles of wine. We use it for social events but I am sure it would be equally as good for a longer walk.
