What types of activity is this bra's level of support suitable for?

Sport is all about getting moving. That's why we made sure this sports bra has all the design details you need to move freely when playing your sport. 
The straps criss-cross on the back, freeing up your shoulders for greater arm movement. This feature also makes the back more breathable during workouts, speeding up the evaporation of sweat. Wide arm holes are extremely comfortable and make it easy to move.

How does the light support sports bra make exercise easier?

This light support sports bra was designed to make you feel beautiful during weight training workouts or at the gym. It can be worn without anything over it. The pleated, lined front, removable cups and V-neckline flatter your chest. Get the complete look by pairing it with matching leggings.

How is this light support sports bra cut?

While exercising, your breasts may undergo more stress than in everyday life. Regardless of your cup size or age, breast movement during a workout can exert a force up to five times your breasts’ actual weight. A sports bra provides the support and comfort you need while exercising. It protects your chest from impacts and pain.

Protect your breasts during exercise

Exercising can stretch the skin and ligaments in your chest. Without sufficient support, you may experience pain. But too much support can also be harmful over time. It's therefore essential to make sure that your bra offers the right level of support for your cup size and the intensity of the impacts caused by your activity. The aim is to protect your bust without altering natural breast movement.

High, medium or light support: how do you choose?

Our bras are tested in our labs using a breast support test that measures the decrease in the breasts' acceleration during sports. They are then rated on a scale of 1 to 5: 1 for light support, 3 for medium support, and 5 for high support.

Sports bra support levels

Your bra's level of support should be suitable for the activity you're doing. Our range consists of three levels:
– Level 1: light support for low-impact activities (e.g., Pilates, stretching, strength training). 
– Level 3: medium support for moderate-impact activities (e.g., dancing, fitness, cardio training). 
– Level 5: high support for high-impact activities (HIIT, running, tennis, team sports, horse riding).

How do you know which size sports bra to get?

Decathlon's sports bras are created by our team of experts to optimize your comfort and avoid health problems.We don't use underwiring as it can cause injuries and compress the lymph nodes. There are no seams over the nipples to reduce the risk of irritation. We prioritise fabrics that wick away perspiration to keep you comfortable and make it much less likely your skin will become irritated.

How are Decathlon sports bras designed?

This bra can be washed very frequently. Wash it at no more than 30°C, and use our laundry bag, which is sold separately (ref. 8505236). Use liquid detergent rather than powder, and do not use softeners. Softeners could ruin the fabric's breathability. Do not tumble dry.
