The 900 HD spherical ski goggles have an HD lens that offers excellent optical quality and improved contrast.
It also provides a good field of vision and is highly-compatible with Decathlon ski helmets.
You can unclip the lens from the frame either to replace the original lens or to insert a bad weather lens (sold separately). Or even to change to a cylindrical shape.

UV rays are bad for the eyes. All our goggles meet the EN -174 standard and provide 100% UV protection. Ski goggles offer the best protection: they provide perfect coverage for your eyes and prevent any UV rays from entering, including glare.

Repairable/Interchangeable

The "Optimal" anti-fogging system comprises a double ventilated lens with treated inner surface and an air vent on the frame that ventilates the inside of the ski goggles.
For good ventilation inside your goggles, do not obstruct these air vents (with a neck warmer, for example).
Do not rub the inner surface of the lens. Instead, dab it carefully to preserve the anti-fogging treatment for as long as possible.

Optimal anti-fogging

A coloured coating on the outer side of the ski goggles lens (known as coloured Flash) reduces the percentage of light that reaches the eye, reducing glare and improving clarity in sunny conditions.
Please note that the Flash lenses are sensitive to scratches, remember to protect them.

Protection

Our size L ski goggles can be worn with prescription glasses (maximum width of 140 mm). The foam on the sides and the shape of the goggle skirt leave room for each temple. For comfort, we strongly recommend trying your glasses under the goggles before purchase.

Compatibility with prescription glasses

The EN 174 standard is a European standard applied to goggles used for eye protection when downhill skiing or during similar activities, such as snowboarding. The ANSI American standard is more stringent than the European standard for shock and impact resistance.
These ski goggles comply with both of these standards.

Moisture causes fogging. Keep the foam as dry as possible. For example, do not place the goggles on a wet helmet or a hat. Always dry your ski goggles properly overnight to get rid of all the moisture so you can hit the slopes the next day with completely dry goggles. Never wipe/rub the inner lens to avoid removing the anti-fog treatment, simply dab it.

Avoid fogging

The goggles size is chosen according to the head size. Up to 55 cm (21.7 in) choose size S, from 56 cm (22.1 in) up choose size L.In general, size S is recommended for children.

Wedze/Quechua helmets and goggles are designed to form an complete unit and prevent gaps between the top of the helmet and the goggles.

Use the adjustment dial to secure your helmet. The dial can be easily adjusted while wearing gloves. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.

This type of structure, known as In-Mould, features a polycarbonate outer shell that is moulded directly to the EPS liner. The inner EPS liner absorbs shocks in the event of a collision. The whole thing is extremely lightweight. The In-Mould construction is more sensitive to everyday impacts. We recommend changing your ski helmet at least every five years or if it has sustained a significant impact.

Measure the circumference of your head (from the middle of your forehead to the top of your ears) and choose the right size. When trying on the helmet, you should not feel any discomfort. If the helmet does not have a visor, try it on with a pair of goggles: There should be no gaps between the two.

How to choose the right size and trying on your helmet

For your safety, your ski helmet must be properly adjusted:
- The head circumference must be adjusted using the tightening dial.
- The chin strap must be correctly adjusted. You should be able to fit two fingers between the strap and your skin. If it is not adjusted properly, the helmet will not protect you as it should.

Adjust your helmet once you have the right size

We recommend replacing your ski helmet at least every five years unless it has sustained a significant impact in the meantime. In the event of a strong impact, the helmet must be replaced: even if it is not visible, the internal material may be damaged and your helmet will provide less protection.

When should you replace your ski helmet?

Avoid wearing a hat, as this will create a gap between your head and your helmet and reduce your protection. If necessary, opt for a very thin balaclava designed for this purpose. 
Avoid putting a camera on the helmet, as this will compromise your safety. The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.

A helmet keeps you warm: it is not necessary, and even discouraged, to wear a hat underneath

Helmets used for head protection when downhill skiing and snowboarding are required to meet the European standard EN 1077:2007. This standard ensures that helmets absorb shocks and are resistant to penetration. There are two categories:
- Class A: protects the top and back of the head, as well as the ears and the side of the head.
- Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.

1. Take a warmer from the packet and knead the pouch so that oxygen and humidity activate the heating process.
2. Wait 10 minutes for the warmer to reach full warmth before putting it inside your boot.
3. Ideally, activate the warmer at a 20°C air temperature (at home, in the car, etc.).
4. At 0°C or altitudes over 2,000 m, blow on them a few times. The warmth and moisture of your breath will speed up the reaction.

Heating instructions

Avoid these 4 situations: 1. Never stick a warmer directly to the skin.  2. Do not use foot warmers in the car with the heat directed at your feet, or at home in front of a heat source. Warmers provide extra warmth. In warm temperatures, they can generate enough heat to cause burns.

3. Not intended for intense sports (like cross-country skiing, figure skating, etc.): perspiration can moisten the compound and trigger an overreaction. Warning: compared to adults, kids’ feet and hands perspire two or three times more during the same activity
.4. Do not adhere the product to the instep: laces sit on this area and the friction speeds up the reaction. Apply warmers to the toe area only.

Risk of burns on your feet (2/2)

The warmer is a mix of activated charcoal powder and iron that produces heat through oxidation. 
The reaction stops:
- When all the activated charcoal is gone. The reaction stops completely after about 5 to 6 hours.
- In an airtight space (in a rubber boot or with neoprene cycling overshoes). 
The reaction starts when the warmer is exposed to air.

How it works

The exothermic reaction begins on the production line:
- The mix is activated and then checked. 
- Once inspected and approved, a pair of foot warmers is inserted in a plastic pouch, which stops the reaction and the heat it generates. The heating reaction restarts when the warmer is exposed to oxygen and humidity again after the pouch is opened.

Good to know

This means that a lack of air suppresses the reaction. If this happens, just remove the warmer, expose it to air, or blow on it to restart the heating process. Then simply put it back in your boot.

What should I do if my warmer stops heating after an hour or so?
What if it doesn’t get warm enough?

The warmer may not be working properly because of:
- a lack of air: in a neoprene overshoe or a rubber boot, for example. 
- extreme conditions: in extreme cold, the warmer provides warmth in addition to the ambient temperature. However, it may not sufficiently warm up in extremely low temperatures.
- an altitude exceeding 3,000 m, where a lack of oxygen limits the reaction.

Troubleshooting

- Feet warmers should only be used for your feet and should not be used on other parts of the body
-Hand warmers should only be used for your hands and should not be used on other parts of the body

Children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities should use this product with caution and supervision.
Persons who have diabetes, delicate or sensitive skin, circulation problems, paralysis, damaged nerves, rheumatoid arthritis, are pregnant, or who have any concerns should consult a physician before using the product.
Do not apply to frostbitten or desensitized skin. 
Do not use while sleeping. 
Do not use in combination with topical analgesics or heating devices.

Precautions

The exothermic reaction consumes the activated charcoal and oxidizes the iron. Once the fuel is spent, the reaction ends and the powder becomes hard.
