Whatever the activity (aquafitness, aquabiking, etc.), the majority of exercises are performed with the feet in contact with the ground, which is sometimes abrasive, or with a surface to which you will apply your foot (step aerobics, cycling, trampolining, etc.). Using shoes helps reduce friction between the feet and these surfaces.

Why use water shoes?

Wear shoes when aquabiking to prevent injury on the bike’s pedals (unless the pedals are designed to be used barefoot).
In Aquabiking classes, frequent moves are made sitting to standing by pushing the feet against the pedal.
These shoes cushion the feet as they press down on the bike pedal.
