This garment has been subjected to a shower test using 60 L of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
A waterproof rating of 5,000 mm means the fabric can withstand pressure exerted by 5,000 mm of water (the equivalent of a rain shower lasting for two hours).
 Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 5,000 Schmerbers).

Component breathability is measured using thermal evaporative resistance (RET). 
RET refers to a fabric’s capacity to let perspiration evaporate. 
The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric.

Component breathability

A fabric is water-repellent when water slides off its surface without being absorbed. It prevents the fabric from soaking up water, keeping it lightweight, warm, and breathable. If water gets in through the top of the boot, remove the insole, rinse out the boot, and dry thoroughly by placing it upside down over a broom handle. Dry in a well-ventilated area. Turn the boot over and slip it onto a broomstick.

How to dry your boots

When your boots are smudged, simply run them under water and rub them with a sponge. If the smudges are hard to remove, you can rub them with a little soap and a wet sponge.

How do you measure the grip?

This model comes in double sizes. It’s important to choose a size that fits snugly when you’re wearing your usual socks.
If it’s too big, you’ll experience chafing, poor foot support, and poor traction.

How to choose your shoe size

The top of the boot features a ridged strip that provides extra grip while you’re pulling it on.
The heel has a lug that you can push down to remove the boots easily, even while standing.

How can I be sure that my boots are 100% waterproof?

The boot’s collar may seem wide compared to your kid’s calf. But it is totally normal. A kid’s instep is really important so that they can put on the boot independently. The collar must leave enough space. This design choice helps give your kid autonomy when putting the boot on and taking it off.

What size should I choose?

Have your tween try on both boots while standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. 
Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot while going down. During your first few outings, gradually have them try them out to get used to them.

How do you test your boots?

With use and over time, the boots’ waterproofing capacity may decrease. To reactivate their water-repellency and prevent stains on the outside, we recommend using a re-waterproofing treatment product after a year.

When hiking in the forest, in the mountains or for everyday wear, your feet are subjected to significant constraints. Friction inside your shoes, combined with perspiration, can be unpleasant, while the cold can make for an uncomfortable experience without adequate protection.

The importance of choosing your socks well 

To choose your hiking socks, assess the duration and intensity of the walk and the terrain. For short walks, opt for cotton socks. For long or technical hikes, choose breathable socks made from synthetic materials or merino wool for comfort.

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the JIS 1092 standard).The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. 
A component with an impermeability of 5,000 mm will therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 5,000 mm of water (which corresponds roughly to a 1-hour downpour). Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerber units (for example: 5,000 Schmerbers). This number applies before washing.

A coating applied to the fabric makes it waterproof and windproof. Technically, a waterproof fabric is also windproof. Protection from the wind is critical, as wind can chill the body during physical activity.

Windproof effect

Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). 
This allows perspiration to escape during physical activity, preventing it from accumulating on the skin. 
The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric.

We tested this food container in the laboratory, in accordance with standard EN 12546-1, at an ambient temperature of 20°C while it was filled to capacity. The time taken to go from 95°C to 50°C (the temperature of food that feels hot enough to eat) is 16 hours.

How is thermal insulation tested?

Fill your food container with hot water and wait for 5 minutes, then replace the water with your hot food and close. Close the lid.
The fuller the box, the more effectively it keeps its contents hot or cold.This container has a medium volume and won't keep food warm for as long as a larger, full box.

Advice for maximizing the performance of your isothermal box.

Double stainless steel inner wall blocks thermal exchanges from conduction or convection. To block exchanges from thermal radiation, a fine layer of copper covers the outside of the inner wall.The top is insulated thanks to an expanded-polystyrene internal insert.


How does the isothermal element work?

This simple product is made up of 5 components (tank, lid, seal, handle and bowl) that can be separated if need be.
The bowl included is made from double wall stainless steel so you don't burn yourself when eating.
The 8 cm diameter opening makes washing and filling the box easier.
The soft handle makes it easy to carry without taking up space once in your bag.
Do not put the box or the bowl in the microwave.

Dishwasher-safe product (lid, body and bowl). Warning: do not lose the top seal. Dry with the top off. The seal and handle can be removed for a deep clean.

Rinse the entire product 3 times with clean water before the first use.

First use

Our products and materials are BPA-free. We use 18/8 (304) stainless steel for the tank and the bowl, recognized for its food safety, and a heat- and shock-resistant polypropylene for the top. The seal and handle are made from silicon, an extremely durable material.

Materials and regulations

Keep your food warm or chilled on your hikes. There’s nothing better than a spoon of ice cream halfway through your walk to motivate the kids (and the grown-ups!).
You can also use your container as a yoghurt maker: Bring milk to boil, leave it to cool down to around 43°C (warm but not burning), then pour it into the container with a spoon of yogurt. Close the box and leave overnight (between 6 and 10 hours).
