Putting up and taking down

Extremely quick to pitch/take down. The flysheet and bedroom are pre-assembled. You then need to insert the tent pole into the sleeves of the flysheet (colour code). It is also quick to take down. To store the tent in its bag, just fold it until it is as wide as the bag, fold the poles into a bundle, place them on the bedroom or the flysheet, and roll everything into a small bundle to fit it all in the bag.

Waterproofing

Forclaz tents are laboratory-tested: pitched tent, 200 litres/m²/hour (3 hours, equivalent to a tropical storm). They are also tested in the field by a sample user group. 75-denier polyester flysheet, polyurethane-coated (interior), water-repellent treatment (exterior), P75D groundsheet in the bedroom. Seams taped with heat-sealed strips. Multi-component bedroom is breathable, provides protection from the wind, and reduces condensation.

Wind resistance

All our tents are tested in a wind tunnel on a rotating plate to expose them on all sides. To test its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched and taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 70 km/h (43 mph), measured near ground level. Our tents are certified by the CSTB independent laboratory in Nantes, France.

Ventilation and condensation

Bedroom with mosquito screen for ventilation and water-repellent fabric to protect from condensation and drafts. Large vent at front of tent and additional vent at back. The tent must be properly pitched and the fabric taut but not overstretched to reduce condensation inside. Vents and good airflow help reduce humidity inside your tent.

Seasons

Three-season tent: your tent will protect you from the harsh weather conditions you may encounter in the spring, summer, or fall. It will withstand light snowfall but is not designed to withstand heavy snow that would weigh down the structure. In the event of snow, shake your tent regularly to remove any snow that has accumulated to avoid too much weight on the structure of your tent.

Repairs and after-sales service

As designers, we care about the repairability of our products; you’ll find spare parts (poles, bedroom, etc.) in store or in the workshop of your local Decathlon, on the website or at the address support.decathlon.co.uk If you have a problem, don't hesitate to have your tent looked at in your local Decathlon store. Repair kit (ferrule, patch): 20 g (0.04 lb)

Durability

This tent is designed for itinerant bivouacking, not for static use in the sun. Avoid leaving it in the sun to prevent UV light from damaging its ultra-light fabrics.
