UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) and is standardized worldwide.
How much UV light a fabric lets through to your skin. In order to meet the standards (EN 131758-1), the UPF 50+ component has to block at least 95% of UVB rays and 98% of UVA rays.
Our anti-UV t-shirt 500 with hood is UPF 50+ certified, guaranteeing effective protection from the sun. It can be worn in or out of the water.

A fabric’s strength is measured in water pressure, expressed in mm water column (test based on the JIS 1092B standard). The greater the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. 
With a waterproofing index of 15000 mm, our 500 jacket is highly waterproof.
A component with a waterproofing index of 15000 mm can withstand a pressure of 1.5 bar.

In our eyes, this test reflects real-life conditions the best because products designed with a waterproof fabric could let in water through the seams, flaps or zips.
In the test, the products are put under a shower in order to test their overall waterproofing capacity.

Breathability is rated according to thermal evaporative resistance (RET), which indicates a fabric’s ability to wick away moisture. The lower this resistance (and therefore the coefficient), the more breathable the fabric is! (Test based on the ISO 11092 standard).
