For greater stability, this bridle features a chinstrap to compensate for the support lost without a bit. The padding on the back of the noseband is ergonomically shaped to sit neatly under the horse’s chin, preventing it from turning and keeping it securely in place. The raised browband also helps balance pressure across the poll.

A wider noseband distributes the pressure over a larger area, while a pre-shaped, raised browband reduces pressure around the ears and poll.

Anatomic design 

During the first few uses, remember to check for signs of the bridle chafing your horse's head. Hair loss or small sores can indicate that the bridle needs adjustment.

Reducing rubbing 

This bitless bridle features smooth, anatomical lines shaped around the horse’s most sensitive areas for a perfect fit. Its black leather and golden brass fastenings give it an elegant, refined look.

Design 

Pressure is distributed differently with a bitless bridle compared with a classic one. On a classic bridle, the pressure points tend to be on the mouth, the bridge of the nose and the poll. Whereas with a bitless bridle, the pressure is mainly on the bridge of the nose and the poll.

Advice from our bridle fitter

Avoid placing pressure on veined, sensitive areas of the horse’s head, such as the poll and the base of the ears, to ensure your horse stays comfortable and focused. Ensure you can fit one finger between the browband and the back of the ears, and position the cheek pieces behind the zygomatic process to protect these areas.

Checking that your bridle is properly fitted

This bridle allows adjustment of the cheek pieces, chinstrap, and noseband. Despite its different lines, it adjusts just like a traditional bridle. The cheek pieces should lie two fingers below the zygomatic process, and the noseband should sit about two fingers above the bridge of the nose.

Checking that your bridle is correctly adjusted

This bitless bridle can be used as a halter, but we strongly advise against using it during transport. For your first ride, test it in an enclosed area (such as a riding school or schooling yard). This way, if your horse reacts unexpectedly, you’ll be able to manage the situation safely.

Compatibility 

Clean the leather regularly with glycerine soap and lukewarm water. After cleaning, condition it with grease applied using a household or leather care cloth. If it starts to feel rough or dry, apply a hydrating conditioner to restore suppleness.
