[translation_pdp-tests]

Our design team designs, develops, and creates Quechua products in France at the foot of Mont Blanc. We test them in the field with other campers to make sure that they’re comfortable and durable. We go to as many different locations as possible, in every possible type of weather. These are great opportunities for discussion, which is valuable for collecting your feedback and planning ahead for new products.

Putting up and taking down

Standard dome assembly: the bedroom is pitched with the poles, and the flysheet is then fastened on top. Reverse procedure when dismantling. In case of wind, attach the guy ropes that are provided in the tent bag.

Mattress compatibility

We recommend you use the tent with the self-inflating or trekking mattress measuring a maximum of 65 cm wide. We do not recommend the use of inflating mattresses over 6 cm in height due to the reduction in living space and condensation resistance.

Ventilation

1 upper rear air vent. Correctly position the lateral tent pegs to maintain a space between the flysheet and the ground all around the tent. The air circulation between the bedroom and the flysheet will limit the natural phenomenon of condensation.

Waterproofing

All Quechua tents are tested in the lab (whole tent under 200 L/h for 3 hours) and in the field (2000 mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120 g/m² polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester fabric under the flysheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the flysheet.

Wind resistance

All our tents are tested in a wind tunnel on a rotating plate to expose them on all sides. A tent set up properly with all guy ropes in the right position should be able to withstand winds of up to 40 km/h measured near ground level.

Warranty/after-sale service

As designers and users who love our field, we care about the durability of our products. That is why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and pole repairs are available from your Decathlon in-store workshop and on our website. If you have a problem, have your tent looked at in your nearest Decathlon shop.

The product contains:

- 1 bedroom - 1 waterproof flysheet - 2 poles - 7 tent pegs - 4 guy ropes

Used for many backpacking trips across Canada & USA! Held up fine in heavy thunderstorms. Super affordable and ditching the heavy tent pegs really brings the weight down. Just fits someone who is 6'1". Could use more internal storage pockets but for the price its perfect.

Great tent for one person and their dog. I wouldn't recommend two people using the tent as it would be a tight squeeze. If two people use the tent, there will be no space inside to put your belongings in. It's doable to set up the tent by yourself, but it's a bit of a hass

le. It is better when there's someone helping. I'm not sure if it's possible to make the product smaller and easier to store, but it's lowkey a pain to carry around. It's best to have a big hiking backpack to store the tent in, or you'll need a big tote bag. Good overall beginners tent.

A great tent. Super easily to setup and very compact. The instructions are clear and printed on the case. The only thing you need is a hammer.

First time camper review. Tent bag - great “open” design and easy to put the tent back into the bag unlike the transitional tent bags. Bought this 2P tent and used it for the first time at a Northern Ontario campsite. It rained hard the first night there. This tent managed

to keep dry in the inside even though 1/3 of my tent area was flooded with a puddle of water. I did have a tarp under the tent which I’m sure it helped. The rain fly was also long enough to cover the inner tent from head to toe. It was 10 degrees at night (felt a lot colder than that) the condensation in the inner tent was amazing. Condensation was found between the inner tent and rainfly - which was normal and the tent did its job. I like the tent wasn’t made in a dark colour so it doesn’t trap heat and I can tell when the morning arrives. It’s not super roomy inside so I’m treating it as a 1P tent. Overall, very happy with this purchase - thoughtfully made and great price!

Value for what you get, this is a 110% buy. A little heavy for backpacking at 5lbs and a little awkward to carry in its original package. It's a 3ft roll. BUT I disassembled mine and stuffed into my backpack. Strapped the poles to the outside of my bag and did fine over small

portages of 500m -1000m, not too heavy with food - I only do one trip portages carrying my canoe, paddle, food and bag in one-go. But the pack size a little bigger, had to use 65l and it was full with my tent and sleeping bag pretty much. No leaks, rained whole trip, dries fast and very spacious if you don't like those expensive and small one-person tents. I wish there was more of a window to look outside, but you really just go to sleep in there. Maybe if it's sunny I would have left the fly/tarp off. Good for single person, sleep pad, backpack, and whatever else you want to keep dry inside. Also has a little spot for shoe storage just outside the door. Pretty Awesome would recommend as a starter tent for sure! For the price you can not go wrong and won't be too mad if it gets a hole or two along your journeys.

Overall good tent. Very small vestibule and could use a peg loop at back, bottom of fly. Rained all day on my first use. No leaks and all was dry inside.

Obviously the price is great! It’s durable and great for camping, but it’s heavy, bulky, and no screen, so no ability to do any stargazing or to have a breeze blow through, not ideal for hiking or back country camping. Only one door too. Otherwise, not a bad tent for beginners
