This isothermal cover keeps your drinks cool in hot weather. It’s not suitable for hot beverages (tea, coffee, etc.); for these, rather opt for a stainless steel isothermal bottle.

How do you use your insulated cover properly in everyday life?

This cover has been designed for use with Quechua 1.5 L (50 fl oz) bottles. Compatibility with other mineral water bottles or bottles is not guaranteed, as formats may vary. For smaller bottles, rather opt for 0.6 L (20 fl oz) or 1 L (34 fl oz) covers specifically designed for these volumes.

These shoes are available in sizes 10.5C–2.5. For optimal comfort on hikes, opt for one size above your child’s normal size. This will prevent tightness around the toes on descents.

What size should I choose?

Get your children to wear their hiking socks and try on both shoes, standing up. 
Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot while going down. Have your children gradually try them out on their first few outings to get used to them.

How to test the shoes

With use and over time, the shoes’ waterproofing capacity may diminish. To reactivate their water-repellency and prevent stains on the outside, we recommend using a re-waterproofing treatment product after one year.

We’ve tested this water bottle in the lab according to Standard ISO 12546-1, at an ambient temperature of 20°C while filled to capacity. The time it takes to drop from 95°C to 50°C (drinks temperature considered warm enough to drink) is 30 hours.

How is heat insulation tested?

This insulated water bottle’s stainless steel double wall with vacuum blocks heat by conduction and convection. A thin layer of copper reduces thermal exchanges by radiation. 
A few tips to improve thermal insulation: fill your bottle with hot water for 5 minutes, replace the water with your hot liquids, then close. The fuller the bottle, the better the heat retention.
Warning: the bottle is very insulating—liquids will remain hot for a long time.

The secret of the insulated bottle?

You can open the quick-release cap with one hand by lifting the white latch. You close it by pressing the latch down or by screwing the cup back on. 
A removable tea filter is attached to the cap. Simply pull on it to separate it from the cap. Be aware that if you remove the filter after immersing it in hot water, it may be boiling hot to touch.
The cup screws onto the bottle, making it easy to carry around, and is made from double-walled stainless steel with no vacuum.

Before first use, wash and rinse 3 times. 

For optimal washing and drying: 
1. Separate all parts.
2. Wash them with soapy water by hand or in the dishwasher.
3. Rinse them with clean water.
4. Leave to dry separately. The cap must remain open when drying.

In the event of odours, leave the bottle to soak for a night in a water bottle and vegan bicarbonate.

Our products and materials are BPA-free. For the body, we used 18/8 (304) stainless steel, which is recognized for its food safety properties. For the top, we used heat- and shock-resistant polypropylene.

Main component 

A product’s waterproof rating depends on two key criteria: component and construction. 
This product was made with a membrane.
The membrane is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof and breathable. 
It is flexible, lightweight, and breathable.

3-layer design: The membrane is glued between the outer and inner fabric. We use it for durable, high-performance rain pants.

Layer design

Laboratory tests are conducted to guarantee the waterproof rating of a component. The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 1092 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. 
This product’s component has a 15,000-mm waterproof rating and can withstand the pressure of a 15,000-mm water column. 
This is also equivalent to 15,000 Schmerbers.

Component waterproofing

We conduct laboratory tests that simulate rainfall to guarantee the product’s waterproof rating.  
This product was validated in a shower test under 18 cm of rain for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a mountain storm.

Waterproofing

A fabric is water-repellent when water slides off its surface without being absorbed. Because the fabric doesn’t soak up water, it remains lightweight and breathable.Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. This treatment needs to be reapplied throughout the product’s lifetime. The water-repellent properties can be reactivated by putting the pants in the dryer for 10 minutes on low or by using a reactivation spray (ref.: 8551983).

How to restore water repellency

Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). 
This allows perspiration to escape during physical activity, preventing it from accumulating on the skin. 
The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. 

RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric 
RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric 
RET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric 
This product has a RET of 8.
