We’ve decided to sell this hiking pole as an individual unit. On the one hand because some hikers are used to only using one pole. And also because this then allows you to easily replace a lost or damaged pole, without having to buy a complete new pair.

About the design and finishes of the hat

Since it features a technical component, our product doesn't like the washing machine and high temperatures.
To preserve its technical qualities, we recommend washing the product by hand and letting it air dry.

What about cleaning and maintenance?

To find out how breathable a fabric is, you measure resistance to evaporative transfer (RET). This refers to the fabric’s capacity to expel the water vapour created by the body during exercise, thus preventing the accumulation of moisture on the skin. The lower the RET value, the more breathable the fabric. The component of our Warm+ V 2 hat has a RET of 3.8 on a scale ranging from 0 to 40.

We measure a fabric’s resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard).
The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric.
Components scoring 2,000 mm can resist the pressure from 2,000 mm of water (equivalent to a 2-hour rain shower).

This garment was validated in a shower test under 60 L of water/m²/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces average rain shower conditions in the mountains.

The garment’s waterproofing 

Our rain poncho and cape lines do not come with a waterproof or breathable membrane.
We recommend using it during low-intensity hikes to keep perspiration to a minimum.

Component breathability

The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without being absorbed. It prevents the fabric from soaking up water, keeping it lightweight, warm, and breathable.Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. This treatment needs to be reapplied throughout the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes). All Quechua ponchos and capes have a water-repellent treatment.
