As the name suggests, beach rugby is played on the beach. Two teams of five players compete on a field 40 x 35 m (131 x 115’) wide. It can be played in two ways: with or without contact. It is similar to rugby but with simplified rules: no line-outs, no scrums, and quick restarts. You’ll improve your running, dexterity, and team spirit while on the beach!

Smaller in size and super lightweight, this ball makes spiking easier to learn for children. The soft EVA outcover reduces the impact of all the volleyball gestures meaning children can concentrate on learning and have fun.

Making spiking easier for children

The choice of ball depends on weight: 

Children aged 6 to 9 will need a ball weighing between 200 and 220 grams. 

Children aged 10 to 14 will need a ball weighing between 230 and 250 grams. 

From the age of 15 upwards, we recommend a ball weighing between 260 and 280 grams. 

You can play with a size 4 ball in training, but the official size 5 ball will be used in competition.

If you want a very durable ball, go for a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, leather or synthetic are what you need.

What ball should you use?

A basketball that is overinflated or underinflated doesn't give you the best game experience.
The recommended pressure is clearly marked on the ball by the manufacturer. 
Ideally, you should use a pump with a pressure gauge so that you can be more precise.
At Tarmak, we recommend a pressure of 9 psi.

How much should you inflate your basketball?

The official height of a basketball basket is 3.05 m (rim height).
If you want a basketball basket for your child, you need something that will grow with them. 
For younger kids, there isn't an official height, so you can choose whatever suits them best.
Up to the age of 10, club baskets are set at 2.60 m. 
After the age of 10, both girls and boys play with 3.05 m baskets

- a Junior ball between ages 10 and 12,

How to adjust your Arpenaz 500 Hiking Backpack

Place heavy items in the bottom. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece where you can access it quickly. Place small frequently used items in the pockets (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.). Put your water bladder in the compartment provided along the back and water bottles in the external pockets.
