Take on the rain with our hiking jacket! Its 15,000 mm water (Schmerber) waterproof fabric keeps you dry, under medium to heavy rain. Performance approved by the JIS standard.

How waterproof is it?

The Schmerber rating measures the waterproofing ability of a fabric. The higher the number, the drier you stay. Our jacket displays 15,000 mm water (Schmerber): it can resist the pressure exerted by a 15 m column of water.

What is a Schmerber?

The membrane: It’s a shield against the rain! The membrane keeps rain out while letting perspiration escape. The result? You stay dry both inside and out. The membrane is only bonded to the outer fabric of this two-layer jacket.

What is a membrane?

Close the zippers and turn the jacket inside out. Machine wash at 30°C. To avoid detergent residue, use a bit less detergent (for waterproof clothing, if possible) than usual and do a second rinse. Wring the jacket at little as possible to avoid damaging it.

How do you wash this hiking jacket?

- Dry for 15 minutes in a tumble dryer to reactivate the water-repellent treatment
- Wash with our detergent for technical waterproof fabrics and use a water repellency reactivating after-wash

This entails using recycled materials, PFC-free coatings, more water- and energy-conservative processes, such as the dope dyeing technique, which colours the fibre at source, thus reducing water consumption and polluting effluent.

Cap weight

Leave your shoes to air dry, without any source of heat. Remove dried mud using a hard cleaning brush, and treat stains with warm water. Regularly restore waterproofing with a suitable spray. Only store them once completely dry.

How to care for your boots

Rubber stone guard at the front, TPU reinforcement at the back, and full mud-guard durably protect against impact, rubbing and abrasion. This robustness has been validated by intensive tests in real conditions.
