How does the fabric insulate you from the cold?

Two types of tests measure warmth:
- a material test 
- a test on a thermal dummy in a thermal chamber We reproduce the temperature, wind (5 km/h or 3 mph), and humidity conditions encountered in the mountains during a 5 km/h (3 mph) hike.
These tests help us validate our design choices before field-testing. 
This vest has a comfort temperature between 7°C and 10°C (without a jacket on top).

How is warmth measured?

Our hiking fleece is tested for guaranteed durability. We guarantee:
- resistance to pilling due to backpack use and body movement

This shirt has a slightly fitted, athletic cut to wick moisture to the outside of the fabric. Choose your usual size or one size up if you prefer to wear a more loose-fitting shirt.

How does the MH 500 Hiking Shirt fit?

Several criteria measure the fabric’s ability to wick away perspiration and dry quickly: fabric absorption power, quick drying, etc. 
Level 1/5 is suitable for low-intensity activities that don’t generate much sweat. All our hiking shirts have a performance between 3 and 4/5, and the MH 500 Shirt has a performance rating of 4/5.
