Our laboratories conduct breast support tests that assess the reduction in the breasts' acceleration during activity. We then categorized our bras in one of these three levels: 1 for light support, 3 for medium support, and 5 for high support.

How do we test the support levels offered by Decathlon's sports bras?

Your breasts are fragile as they're supported mainly by skin. While you're playing sports, they're subjected to more movement and bouncing than normal, no matter your cup size or age. Depending on the activity you're doing, they can end up supporting up to 5 times their normal weight. Wearing a sports bra provides essential support and protects your breasts from impacts, which prevents pain and premature sagging.

Why is it important to protect the breasts during exercise?

To ensure that your sports bra offers the right support and remains comfortable, it's important to get the right fit. To choose the right size, grab a tape measure and follow these steps:
– Stand in front of a mirror.
- Hold the tape measure horizontally against your upper back, roughly level with the bottom of your shoulder blades;
– Bring the tape measure across the fullest part of your bust;
– Measure without pulling the tape measure tight.

Too much support can also be harmful. This bra is designed for intensive sports use and can be washed very frequently. We recommend washing it in our laundry bag, which is sold separately (ref. 8505236), at no more than 30°C.
