What is the fit of the softshell jacket?
Relatively close-fitting cut. The jacket is designed to be worn with a slim-fitting second layer like fleece.
Breathability
The main fabric used in the jacket, except at the sides, has a windproof membrane with a breathability of 2814 g/m² for 24 h (according to the JIS 1099 A standard).
Features
2 hand pockets Jacket hem tightened with an elastic cord, toggles.
Lycra cuffs and thumb loops at the cuffs to prevent any heat loss.
Thermal comfort and Windproof
The wind can make you feel considerably colder.
With an outside temperature of 0°C and a 20 km/h wind, the perceived temperature is actually -10°C.
The windproof components block this uncomfortable wind chill. Forming a barrier against the wind, they effectively reduce heat loss.
Water-repellent properties of the component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
A fabric's water repellency is its ability to make water run off its surface without being absorbed. It prevents the fabric from soaking up water, keeping it lightweight, warm, and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior. The garment should be retreated throughout its lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores. All Quechua Softshells have a water-repellent treatment.
Restoring water repellency
Over time, due to washing and wear and tear, the water-repellent treatment becomes less effective.
This is how you can re-activate your padded jacket’s water repellency!
Use the care product. Wash-in product for reactivating the water repellent properties
Our products' environmental impact
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An ABCDE rating shows the environmental impact of a product. Put forward by ADEME, it takes into account production, transportation, usage, and waste generated at the end of a product’s life.Decathlon displays this information voluntarily to help you identify products with lower environmental impact.Learn more athttp://sustainability.decathlon.com/
