Don't forget this is an 8 foot rod a reel with line and tackle for a very low price.. No problems yet although I am very careful breaking the rod down.. grip the 2 sections your collapsing firmly away from the rings.. Give a little twist if you have to. And I changed the line for something better

It is really unfortunate that our product didn't meet your expectations.


If the line is tied loose in the beginning, there is a chances of it getting stuck every time you cast. So remove the line and spool it tightly.

The rod and reel is good but the lures are not durable, a white lure was provided and some white paint like substance was all over the box compartment and my hands. The hooks provided with floating ball is too small, and the ball did not float.extra Hooks should have been provided with the set
Reel is not good, Rod stucks often on joints

I lost my reel handle after some time...hardly used for 20 days, reel entangles often and can't handle much weight even a one pound fish can pull the reel if its locked and after sometime my rod was stuck on corners and finally broke while fixing it :(
Not satisfied with quality, and should give more sinkers with the accessories.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and we're sorry to hear that you had a bad one. Could you please share the images of the damaged reel.

As mentioned in the site, the rod can hold up to 2.2kgs given with proper lure weight attached to it.

If the reel handle is getting locked, it can be of many reasons.

If it's possible kindly bring the product to nearby Decathlon store and our sport leader will give it a look.

If the rod/reel is a manufacturing defect and comes under warranty, we'll exchange the product with new one.
