Trail Running Vest 10 L

Very good bag but it was given as a gift and unfortunately was not suited to the person.

This bag is mostly very good. Lots of pockets, big bladder, easy and secure seal. Not a great design for lots of movement in the heat. The back of the bladder (facing your back) is mesh and when the bag moves, especially when the weather is warm, the plastic seal for the bladder caused massive chafing on my back. so much so that I don't think I can wear this for extended adventures - which is the whole reason I bought it in the first place.

I wouldn’t usually review a product after only on use but I was so impressed by this piece of kit. I had 2 uses in mind, the obvious being for running and the 2nd to hold a walkie-talkie as well as my phone, keys and water while taking a narrow boat through locks. I used on an 11.5k run and carried my phone in a front pocket and a small ovate water bottle in the back. Both stayed secure and the water was easily accessible. I’m a 5’2” size 12 female and the M/L fit is excellent. On a warm day my back stayed dry and the pack stayed firmly in place. I’m delighted with it and after looking at others think the price makes it a real bargain. There’s enough room in the sack for other things, maybe a sweat top as I removed the water pouch as I’m not a fan.

Useful pockets on the front, big enough to fit a 5.5 inch phone

Slightly on the small side if you're using the water pouch, but I can't complain as it is as it's sold. There are plenty of storage options, two main cavities; one accessed by a zip and the other through the top of the bag; storage on the straps and two on the bottom at the back.

For reference I can fit the water bladder, a baselayer, waterproof, map and compass and 4-5 snacks in it no problem at all.

Only minor grievance is that the bag is quite hard to fill so that it doesn't get too top heavy and the bottom half flaps around a bit.

It would be better is if it is sold without water sack.

Very tight, better check fitting before purchasing. Great design

This is the first trail running bag I’ve owned and was bought to train with for a trail marathon later in the year. Tried a few in shops and the prices all seem to go north of this one, but this felt the most comfy and at a great price. I’ve not been disappointed, the bag is pretty adjustable to find the right fit so I’ve not had any issues with rubbing or chaffing on HM+ runs to date.

On practice runs (25k +) The Kalenji 500ml trail running flask fits in the pocket like a glove, even when full and are is easy to drink from without extracting. The bladder also sits well when full and doesn’t rub, although (top tip) worth checking out the technique on YouTube for removing air to stop the water sloshing as you run!

Not done the full monty with this pack yet, but have every confidence it’ll perform well. Great pack and great price, v.happy!
