TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Why run with a heart rate watch?

Heart rate is measured in bpm (beats per minute). The more intensively you exercise, the faster your heart beats. As you train, you will learn heart rate at which you can complete your run without being out of breath—your target heart rate. Aim for that rate, and you will be able to run more regularly and more easily.

Set your target zone

Manage your training sessions using the target zone settings that show you, in real time, whether you are within the target zone you have set up.
The ONrhythm 110 features a mode that lets you set heart rate target zones in beats per minute (bpm).

How is my heart rate measured?

Your heart rate is measured by the strap worn around your chest. The strap has two electrodes and a transmitter.

When your heart beats, it transmits very weak electric signals. These are detected by the electrodes and sent to your watch via the transmitter on the chest strap.

Can my signal be interrupted by other heart rate monitors?

The ONrhythm 100 communicates with the chest strap using a non-coded signal. As a result, it can be disturbed by nearby heart rate monitors. If you run on your own or with a partner who doesn’t use a similar heart rate monitor, it’s not a problem. If you run with a group, we recommend choosing a coded heart rate monitor such as the ONrhythm 500.

Easy to read in the sun and in the dark.

The ONrhythm 110 has what is known as a reflective screen. It reflects the surrounding light. The more sun there is, the easier it is to read the screen.
When running in the dark, you can use the backlight button to light up your screen.

It’s a watch, too!

The ONrhythm 110 watch displays the time and date. You can also set an alarm.

I was looking for a replacement and this was in the sale so was great value.

Works well although the chime is a little quiet. I would not rely on that anyway and it gives a good readout of heart rate.
I use it for aerobic exercise and check recovery

Works well but didn't last too long

I used it for heart rate training. Simple and works well.
About 1 year into owning it, it started giving strange readings and then the belt abruptly stopped pairing with the watch. The good folks at Decathlon fixed me up with a full refund so I'd say just go for it if you need a budget HRM, it does the job well until it doesn't, then Decathlon will take care of you if it fails.

I had to exchange the product because the sensor lights kept flashing nonstop on my first watch. After exchanged, the second watch showed the heart rate over 400 during cycling while it’s used to be around 150-160 from the watch of other brand.

Previously owned a Polar FT04 which was all I needed, unfortunately it gave up on me.
After a little research quickly decided I do not need a watch that tells me what to do and when so reluctantly purchased this device. Don't get me wrong, it's basic, but if you only want feedback of heart rate whilst exercising, this is ideal.
Comparing to the Polar, the chest strap is larger and not so easy to fit. That's me getting used to it. The watch provides decent feedback of effort (heart rate) and have tested over 16 miles, 6.5 interval training and 10.5 at consistent effort. Both instances compared to my old Polar.
I'm in my 16th week of training using 'Heart Monitor Training for the compleat idiot' and can vouch for the benefits for this training (other resources are available online).
Bottom line is, its clunky, basic and cheap. If all you require is binary feedback of heart rate, this will do the job (as long as you moisten the strap pads).
