TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Waterproof properties

We measure the resistance to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (based on ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure a fabric can withstand, the more waterproof it is.
Component resistant to water pressure of 2000 mm before and after ageing (5 washes), which is equal to 2,000 Schmerber (the average pressure exerted during rainfall).
The pants' waterproofing has been tested in a rain shower with 60 litres of water / m² / hour for 2 hours

Care instructions

Rinse with clean water after use.
Store in a dry place.
Wash as infrequently as possible to protect the water-repellent treatment.
Wash inside out, pocket zipped, on the synthetics cycle (30°C–40°C) with regular detergent. Do not use fabric conditioner. Do not overload your machine. Run extra rinse.
Line dry.
To restore its water repellency, tumble dry inside out on the synthetics cycle for 10–15 min.

Waterproof rating

We measure the resistance to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (based on ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure a fabric can withstand, the more waterproof it is.
A fabric that is 2,000 mm waterproof can withstand the pressure of a 2,000 mm water column.

Breathability

Breathability
To find out if a fabric is breathable, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat transfer (RET). The lower the resistance, the better a fabric’s ability to let the body’s perspiration escape.
- RET < 9 = extremely breathable
- RET 9–12 = very breathable
- RET 12–20 = breathable
- RET > 20 = not very or not at all breathable

Our products’ environmental impact

An ABCDE rating shows the environmental impact of a product. Put forward by ADEME, it takes into account production, transportation, usage, and waste generated at the end of a product’s life. Decathlon displays this information voluntarily to help you
identify products with lower environmental impact.
