Seven pockets to carry everything you need.
The zipped pocket at the front is ideal for your phone.
Your gels and fruit jellies can be stored in the two net pockets at the front of the waistband.
The two nets at the back can be used for carrying trash and tissues.
Finally, the rear zipped pocket can hold a 150 or 250 mL flask, and the front net can hold a windbreaker or survival blanket.

Love the shorts. Reviewed earlier that with 1 or 2 front pockets will be nice as well as a waterproof compartment, perhaps at the back pocket as it is big enough for large phones. No problems fitting my Samsung Note 9.
