        What is the SUBEA brand?

Tribord Diving is now called SUBEA, the Decathlon brand dedicated to underwater sports (snorkelling, SCUBA diving, spearfishing, and free-diving). The markings on all our diving products will gradually be replaced. Why SUBEA? Because: "SUBaquatic Experiences are Amazing"! For more information: www.subea.com

What is the difference between freediving and snorkelling?

At Subea, the Decathlon diving brand, we decided on a simple way to define the difference between our freediving and snorkelling products: From the moment you hold your breath and swim under the surface of the water even a few meters, it is freediving. Conversely, if one stays on the surface, this is snorkelling.

Good fins but slippery when walking in the water
Yeo (Singapore) Used for 1 week or less
Fins are wonderful but it is quite slippery and may drop off or quite loose so need to check size properly before you buy.
        Response of the brand

        Hello Yeo,

Thank you very much for your review.

I am really happy to hear that you like the efficiency the SUBEA FRD 100 freediving fins. It's a multi purpose fin that can be use by intermediate snorkelers and beginner freedivers and scuba divers.

Yes indeed, the size has to be chosen properly. If the fins are slightly too large, we recommend to use it with a pair of neoprene socks: https://www.decathlon.sg/p/8301065-31274-hanka-scd100-2mm-diving-boots.html#/65-285-uk_15_25_eu_34_35

This way the fins won't slip off and will be even more comfortable.

Hope to see you in one of our stores.

        Have a nice day.

Good to use as training fins only. Fins are bit hard but light weight
The heal is pronounced so you go for one smaller.

        Great for snorkel and scuba
Tomas (Taiwan) Used for More than 2 years
I've had these fins (older color variant) for over 2 year now, using them mainly for snorkeling/freediving and scuba. As long as there is a safe water access, you're good. Fins kept me moving around Taiwan and Indonesia and I appreciate the low weight when on the go. After two years (and 3+ months?) of abuse, the rubber boot part started developing minor cracks, but to be honest, I'd expect that much sooner given my daily use. Going for a new pair next time I'm in town. Will buy again.
