TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Stable trajectory

We know that a stable trajectory is very important, particularly for long shots or when playing as a goalkeeper. We've changed the structure of the outer cover to improve stability. The F550's design has 24 identical panels, instead of the traditional 32. This improves the stability of the ball and makes it more comfortable to play with.

Sphericity

Average measured variation: Maximum 1.5%.
We measure the soccer ball's sphericity at 16 different points and examine the noted discrepancies.
If the discrepancy is greater than 1.5% (FIFA Pro standard), our engineers work on improving the sphericity to ensure a consistent bounce.

Minimal pressure loss

We inflate the ball to the recommended pressure (11.6 psi).
The ball cannot lose more than 15% of its pressure over the next 72 hours, meaning a maximum pressure loss of 1.5 psi.The pressure after 72 hours must be approximately 10.1 psi.It's normal for a ball to lose a little bit of pressure after a few days.

Water absorption

To simulate rainy playing conditions in a lab, we put the ball in 2 cm of water on a pivoting support and subject it to 250 compressions.By the end of the test, the ball must not have absorbed more than 15% of its weight. For the F500 in size 5, that means a maximum of 60 g.

Bounce

Between 135 and 155 cm, with a maximum difference of 10 cm between the ball's highest and lowest bounce. Each ball is dropped 10 times on a steel plate from a height of 2 m.

Shape and pressure retention

The most strenuous test we put this ball through is the shooting machine test.
It has to withstand up to 2500 shots against an inclined concrete surface at 50 km/h from a distance of 2.5 m.
At the end of the test, we check:
- The ball's general condition:Stitching must remain intact
- Circumference:Must not have varied by more than 1.5 cm
- Sphericity: Must not have varied by more than 1.5%
Pressure: Loss of pressure must not exceed 1.5 psi

Design

This hybrid ball was designed after watching soccer players in action on the field.This ball is a hybrid due to a design that combines the comfort of machine sewing with the durability of hand sewing.
Two kilometres of thread is wrapped around the bladder to ensure lasting pressure and better sphericity.
