TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

What are zero drop shoes?

The drop is the height difference between the front and back of the shoe. Scientific studies conducted by our research lab (the SportsLab) have shown that a zero drop allows for a more natural stride, similar to running barefoot. This natural stride allows for better absorption of shock waves and strengthens your kid’s muscles and tendons in the long term.

What about the natural stride?

To encourage a natural stride that’s as close as possible to running barefoot, the Flex Run shoe is based on 4 criteria:
- Zero drop and good flexibility so that the midfoot, rather than the heel, contacts the floor first
- A low weight for a smoother stride
- An anatomical shape to limit the amount that the shoe restricts the foot

The result: when the foot contacts the floor, the energy is transferred to the muscles at the back of the leg, which absorb vibrations better.

Designed for kids, with their parents’ feedback

These shoes were designed with the help of parents to meet the needs of sporty kids:
- Rubber patches on the sole provide greater grip
- Laces and strap ensure proper support
- Front and rear reinforcements on the upper provide extra support and protection

Shoes that let your child’s feet breathe

SportsLab, our research laboratory, observed that children’s feet sweat a lot more than adults’ feet during sports.
This is why all of our running shoes are made with breathable fabric (mesh) on the upper, which wicks away perspiration and stops unpleasant odours from developing. This fabric, which is lighter than synthetic leather, is more comfortable for running!
